Place du Tertre

Famous all over the world for its painters , portraitists and terraces-Place du Tertre- got its name from the fact that it's situated on top of a "tertre", that is a small hill ???????????? Really charming????

Artists who exhibited at the first Salon des Refusés once made their home here. Today you can still find artists working here en plein air. U can pick up beautiful paintings for a pretty penny.

I found my favorite place in Paris. A place where to feel inspired, impressed, amazed. Here you can enjoy cozy restaurants , art , magical atmosphere and much more...

It's a must see in Paris ... but don't let it fool you too much. A lot of very salesy portrait artists and painters . Look for the very scarce and hard to find real painters with passion .

Nice place. If you like detail-photography, you will definitely fill your card/film. Unfortunately its very crowded with tourists .

Go there at night. Take a glass of whine and enjoy the scenary. It may be a tourist trap . But it felt like authentic France.

A place to see when visiting Paris, but the plaza is just a tourist trap . Beware of the overpriced cafés . If the waiters are rude, it is not a tradition, they are just impolite.

Don't be shy to eat in the square despite it seeming like tourist trap central it is rather honest grub plus many of the staff are really lovely.

Tertre = petite colline à sommet plat. Célèbre pour ses artistes peintres , ses portraitistes et ses terrasses , lieu de flânerie par excellence où se mélangent chaque jour plein de touristes

Super endroit à voir absolument à Paris. Le Sacré Coeur vaut la visite également. J'aime les artistes qui se battent produisent régulièrement. Dommage par contre le harcèlement des peintres etc...
