1st timer, had Jumbo pork loin chawamushi set $30. Free flow rice & cabbage only. Surprisingly very good tonkotsu ! Menu overall too expensive imo, but it's a good alternative to ma maison now :)
The quality is surprisingly good. The deep fried pork and seafood are crispy and tasty, and the size is quite bigger than other similar shop nearby. The price is also little cheaper, so a great place.
The best + My favorite Tonkatsu . The Rosu (loin) Katsu isn't so dry as compared to the Hire (fillet) Katsu . Side order of Japanese curry sauce is nice and doesn't drench Katsu ????????
Restaurant serves tonkatsu with a bowl of sesame seeds . Make your suriguma sauce to dip the cutlets in. Grind the seeds (~70% crushed) to release the oils. Pour in the black sauce & mix. Dip is ready
Downrating this place unfortunately after today's meal. Been here MANY times over the years but have noticed now the hire pork cutlet size has shrunk and bulked up by crust. They should sell by weight
There is a belief (by the Japs) to eat the cabbage salad before the tonkatsu . Apparently, the vege fibre helps control absorption of fat & oils. The salad here is served with bottle of sesame dressing
Love their tonkatsu options here. Never fail to fill up my tummy. Use jpassport app for 5% discount of total bill.
Decent tonkatsu but still prefer Saboten overall where the cabbage is freshly chilled and nicer dressing .
The pic shows the replacement hire cutlets they offered after we rejected the heavily crusted ones they served us initially.
Current Sapporo beer promotion scores you a free chawanmushi!
We find it reasonable@and very authentic taste
Probably my favourite Katsu place in the world!

Don't bother calling to make a reservation . Cannot even get through at off peak hours much less peak timing. Probably hung up the phone.
Chicken katsu ... the best...
Definitely will come back...
Less variety than the Shaw branch.
Everything is nice including coffee jelly !
Love the pork loin !

One of the best places for tonkatsu in Singapore with the kurobuta rosu katsu set and Mameton set being the must tries here. Of course, the long queues during mealtimes explains it all. - Terence O
