The four crossings hike -- especially the Hole and Buckeye trail portions of it -- was enchanting. But beware: your feet will almost certainly get wet and depending on season so may your knees!

Magnificent hundred year old redwoods . I would suggest walking around and hiking instead of taking the train , which takes too long and I didn’t find this exciting.
The park offers a neat train and traditional western town within the park grounds, plus the river that runs alongside the train is a must-see in spring.
