I cannot imagine the philistine who doesn't like Dok Bua. Without question, the most authentic Thai food in Boston. Moo yang and larb are favorites of mine, but I like everything I've tried here.
Faves here: Mango Curry , Duck Fried Rice , and for sure the dinner specials . A perfect, reliable answer to "Where do you want to eat tonight?" The staff is always kind, the food arrives quickly too.
Always consistent with quality food and bang for your buck. Place will come and go in Coolidge Corner, but Dok Bua will never change.
My bf had the crispy chicken w/ sticky rice , totally blew my noodle soup out of the water! Be warned that the chicken is served bone-in, in case you don't like that stuff or you are ordering for kids.
Been coming here for 10+ years, while there's occasionally an off-meal, still my favorite place near here for "somebody's mom made it" Thai.
By far the best Thai place in Boston. Order the CK1 with Chicken . It's spicy so watch out.
I love Dok Bua! The decor is a tad strange but the food is excellent. Go for the lunch or dinner specials . It's not on the menu but they'll make Pad-Ki-Mow as a lunch/dinner special for you. Read more
Great for big groups! Staff is so friendly and its BYOB ;)
The crispy chicken rice is spiced just right. Another dish to order is the pad Thai .
Cheesecake Factory-size menu. Smoothies are served in mason jars
Dinner specials are great, though if you're a heavy eater you're gonna be left wanting more unless you order more food
Best Thai iced tea I've ever had!
Try the Indonesian fried rice with crispy chicken and egg . They also have amazing crab rangoons !
Dok Bua is awesome!!! Pad Thai and pad kee mau must try! Also byob :)
Great lunch and dinner specials !
Portion sizes are great
Yellow curry is excellent.
One of the largest Thai menus ever.
Get a dinner special .
The mango curry is hot but AMAZING! Splurge on duck over chicken . Well worth it!
Go for the lunch specials or the clam fried rice . Delish!
They allow you to bring your own alcohol . Next time, bring a nice bottle of wine to enjoy with your meal...
i don't like their fish . usually, i order the mango curry , and end with the sticky rice mango !
The pan fried dishes are generally excellent (fried rice , noodles in particular). A strong street food edge.
Great lunch special
My favorite Thai restaurant . The baby clam fried rice is a must try!!
Best tofu pineapple fried rice in Boston.
bYob is key!!
Be bold - try one of the traditional whole fish dishes with all the spices.
I crave for their pad Thai w/ crispy chicken everyday.
Dinner specials are a great deal and can be made all vegetarian .
the lettuce wrap haunts my dreams.
Free self-serve house tea hidden near the entrance.
Watch out for the cockroaches. There was one squirming around on the floor leading to the restrooms .
Get the dinner special !
