This Zoo has an amazing amount of animals of all types! The "Cool Zoo " water park looks awesome and a blast for kids literally. Prices are a lot higher than BREC Zoo . They do offer student discounts !
The zoo is so gorgeous. The animals are of course the main attraction , but don’t forget to sit on a big tree or at the cafe and let Mr. Peacock show off for you. Go early before it gets crowded !
One of the best zoos ever . I have so much fun every time I go and the zoovie at night is super cute ! ????????????❤️
If you plan on visiting the zoo , aquarium , and insectarium and have 5 or more people in your family, consider getting a membership. We are from out of town and used it for one week. It saved us money!
Had a Pleasant experience. All exhibits were open unlike other Zoo I've visited. Love the Alligator Pond with the old swamp home. Love the Trees , Love the Waterpark. This Zoo has a Overall "A"
Beautiful zoo . Not the most comprehensive display of animals, but top notch local section complete with bayou food and the white alligator . Water play area looks awesome, but also costs extra.
Spend the day exploring the zoo & walk through various exhibits featuring monkeys , big cats, and more. In the summer enjoy an outdoor splash park & lazy river , & in the winter holidays lights abound.

One of my favorite zoos ! Hit up exhibits during feedings and the keepers will do chats as they feed the animals! You'll learn so much and see active animals!
World class , particularly impressive for a city of this size. Their dedication is shown in their constant improvements. As such, there is ongoing construction that does not deter from the exhibits .
During the Great Depression "Monkey Hill ", an artificial hill , was built to show the kids of flat New Orleans what a hill looks like. Local folklore calls Monkey Hill the highest point in New Orleans.
Kids had a blast!! They let you bring your own cookers of food for lunch . They also have peacocks walking around...this was the kids favorite part;-)
When you visit the Audubon Zoo during the summer make sure to cool off at the Cool Zoo the wet and wild splash park at the Audubon Zoo!
Lions and Tigers and Bears ...and White Alligators and Elephants and Gorillas, Oh My! Don't miss the world class Audubon Zoo. A perfect attraction for kids and adults!
Too hot for animals to be out, but loved the zoo . Giraffe and elephant display are up close and personal. Pretty awesome.
When the monkey escapes, they lock you inside until they catch him. He's a crafty little monkey . This is the second time he has escaped this year!
Besides all manner of animals, the Audubon Zoo offers a carousel, climbing hill , touring train , large play area and splash park for young visitors. -Travel Editor
BEST ZOO EVER ! Renovating to make it even better.
We're going to see some animals from all over the world. We eat lunch everywhere. Then, we buy something in each store.
Saturdays are very crowded so go during the week, if possible If you have children, bring a wagon and a small ice chest; it keeps everyone happy and cuts the cost of the visit.
May is a GREAT month to go. Always opt in for the feeding times and if you have small kids the arm bands are completely worth it!
If you go during Mardi Gras it's almost empty, like having the park for the elite. Lol
Cool zoo is so much fun! The kids loved the carousel too! Well worth the $!
IMAX theater is not at zoo !! Bought tickets for both and could get to the theater on the same day. Not clear on website. Same with butterfly and insect exhibits , also charged extra. Gave those away.
Pretty spectacular zoo in the swanky end of town , near Tulane and Loyola. Ride the streetcar down!
Some nice animal exhibit but this is a small zoo .
Such a fun, well laid out zoo , with an albino alligator !
Very cool place! A must do if you're at the zoo already! Be sure to bring your own towels though...
Audubon is home to several rare and endangered, including white alligators and a white Bengal tiger.
Lack of signage to walk from St. Charles St. Trolley is astounding. Unless you ask around, you wouldn't know where to get off, which way and how far to walk. For a world class zoo you'd expect more.
This is an absolutely wonderful zoo . It really caters to children and families.
Make sure to check out the gorillas!
mention to them how nice other cities zoo are..they need to upkeep better..I have a pass because of my kids but I have not been satisfied in a long time...
The new water park in the zoo is awesome. Took my grandson and I think I had more fun getting wet then he did. The best

An extremely well designed Zoo . Diverse animal population.
Make sure you feed the ducks and turtles ! Not only are you having fun, but you support the wildlife funds too!
The Louisiana swamp exhibit is great!
If you haven't had the roman candy , you haven't lived. Vanilla , strawberry , chocolate ... Doesn't matter.
Get a frozen banana . I'm not a fan of zoos and this one did not change my mind. I do like it was clean but the enclosures are way too small for the animals.
"I went on down to the Audubon Zoo, they all asked for you" -The Meters
Celebración Latina to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month
Don't drop your cell phone into the nutraceutical rat lake enclosure ...you'll never ER it back!!
If you are lucky enough to come on a day that the cafeteria has chicken salad , GET IT !!! A+++
Lions, Tigers and Bears . Oh my! All here, with the Flamingos and Elephants too!
Come on a colder day (~50-ish° today) and you can see all the cats move around!
Immediately to the east of the zoo is a little fountain with a refreshing wading poil
An amazing place, it's fun with family.
Plan to spend at least 4 hours there.
The cricket banana fritters are delicious. Be brave and try one - Meredith Wiggins
My family and I would recommend this Zoo to anyone. Their tigers, gorillas and monkeys were extremely active and put on a show. The swamp was my favorite by the restaurant. We had a Blast! - Extended Arms
A beautiful urban park with a nice jogging trail, many gorgeous live oaks, and safe and clean playgrounds for the children. - Em LeMieux
Great views everywhere . Running track is awesome . And saw a lot of animals running around. Amazing nature space. - Shirley Chavarria
Park behind the Zoo along the river. Perfect for sunbathing, crawfish boils, baseball games and birthday parties. Tip: Closer to the entrance tends to be more college-aged so drive a little further. - Ryan Eugene
