Potsdamer Platz

Like a mini Manhattan in Berlin. The skyscrapers are impressive from ground level, and you can also enjoy top views of the city from the Panoramapunkt café/viewing platform .

Looks a lot like Manhattan, very different than the rest of historical Berlin. Beautiful architecture with lots of restaurants and iMAX theaters .

They have a few old pieces of the wall here and some bits of knowledge posted on them. It's a great quick read and interesting to see the line along the ground showing where the wall once was.

This is my favorite nighttime-spot in Berlin! I love how Bahnhof Potzdamer Platz looks beside the gigantic DB-building. And there is also a post with the historical context of the train station .

Sophisticated modern high rise skyscrapers versus small pieces of Berlin Wall

Mostly malls and offices . No real nightlife scene, not worth a visit if you're looking to explore the better areas of the city . Tip: be sure to check out the hidden Keith Haring sculpture !

Love it! I came in December and there was a Christmas fair , lovely space and you get to see the modern building of Berlin

I like that square. Huge and central. You can find any kind of activities as a tourist .

Perhaps the most visible symbol of the ‘New Berlin’. The historical Potsdamer Platz was a busy traffic hub that became synonymous with metropolitan life and entertainment in the early 20th century.

The centre of new Berlin - so much history to read about in this area. Lots of high end hotels and US chain shops around here

More of a shopping and transit hub, Potsdamer Platz is pretty spectacular as the sun goes down and the lights give the architecture a wonderful sparkle.

Interesting modern spot to visit for a quick stop, but mostly for its history. Now it's mostly only tourists . Of historic interest is an old GDR watchtower on Erna-Berger-Straße (at Leipziger Platz).

Worth a visit, particularly at night during October when the light festival is on - uplit trees and projections onto buildings give this place a magical feel.

Potsdamer Platz is a city within the city . Great office area but is missing the Berlin atmosphere.

Brush up on your Berlin Wall history with a very informative group of panels (actually mounted on a part of the wall).

A great location to people watch . The Christmas market during the winter takes up nearly the entire plaza .

Nice country side of Berlin. People are very organized . The only disadvantage it was super hot and there were no AC around

You should visit the Dali museum . It is very nice and cheap , 12 euro per person.
