Housed in the al Fahidi Fort built in 1787, the Dubai Museum is the oldest existing building in Dubai. Stop in for a slice of authentic Emirati history in a modern city .
The fort is small, but once get into the underground museum , it is big with a small village of good illustration of dubai traditional livings.
Well worth the visit & much bigger than I expected! Entrance fee is only 3 dhs for adults. Closest metro station is Al Fahidi. Enjoy! :)

Good place to visit if you haven't been here yet. Entrance fee is extremely cheap . And its open till about 8pm at night. Visting from 4-7pm would be ideal, avoiding the hot afternoons.

Just take the abra near Baniyas Square Metro, then just a short walk you'll be here... Nice display of what was Dubai before and how it transformed.. Just that the video presentation is not up to date
Make sure you see everything before taking the underground part as this leads to the exit

seems small museum outside but a lot of historical and ancient dubai memoirs to be seen inside.. Be prepared to tour around.. Take note that the museum closes by 8:30pm..
