Ask for the fresh from Tokyo selection. Chefs choice is always an adventure. Some of the freshest fish in the city and an unknown Sunset gem.
Get at least one thing off the specials board, which is HUGE and brought to your table before you order. The sushi is solid but they can cook too! I love everything they make with pork belly :)
A neighborhood Japanese but good quality food! Prepared and served authentically . Don't forget order a glass of shocho with ice to go along your sushi . We had great seaurchin nigiri as an example.
Sit at the bar and get the omakase . The pacing might be erratic but the fish is really fresh and there is good variety. Price is also very reasonable.
It's not listed on the menu, but they will do omakase at whatever price level you choose. I strongly recommend it, as I've had incredible meals every time. Just don't go lower than $30 per person.
Authentically Japanese . Slow service at the end of the night. Great food.
Sit at the bar and eat whatever Kazu serves you. Don't forget to ask for a quail egg with your uni.
Sushi is great but their service is a little slow.
Order from the specials board! If you like nigiri , you won't be disappointed!
Decent alternative to Ebisu or Koo . Definitely a few notches above Kiki's. Service is spotty. Annoying that they don't post specials on the wall. Server carries board to each table. No AMEX.
Great selection of vegetarian sushi .
The best real as hell sushi in the West side
Best sushi In San Francisco
Large Asahi and Mendocino uni perfection.
Cold inside. Uninspired rolls
#ultimatecrunchy is my favorite sushi
Double double is so good!
I thought this place was very ok, but the slow service made the overall experience less than Ebisu or Koo
Waitstaff could really use +1 ...
if you want some eels , just order unagi sushi , not white snake or other rolls..
total gem... Read more
Service is sloooooowwwww! But the rolls are delicious and fresh. Deal with the extra wait time with some sake .

Sit at the bar and relax. Chiriashi was great. Any roll with lemon was amazing. - Jeff Weinstein
Overall okay. Not out of this world. Had sake and hamachi sashimi with the watermelon balls. Good cold sake. - Sandra Herrera
Mocha is my favorite flavor and they always have it but sometimes it's in the back and you can ask for them to get it for you. - Asher Yanich
The frozen custard is delicious. Great selection of homemade frozen yogurt - Adri .
Gourmet ice cream, along the line of what you’ll find at Humphrey Slocombe. Creative flavors -their chocolate is A the pecan bars are also excellent - J John
