A bar with a large selection of rare Belgian beers is my kinda place! (Can't help it. Am Belgian, so a beer snob. Avoid the German & the American stuff. Trust me :-)
Crowd is either 20 years older or 20 years younger than me! Great European beer selection . And across from the greatest bar in town !! The Midtown German Festival shoud be a barn burner!
Clad in a Black Forest 's worth of reclaimed wood, an indoor beer garden in Midtown complete with self-service beer taps . Read more
Great beer list . Lots of weird beards, but that's not surprising. Guy dressed in full on civil war general's outfit, that was a first. Must of been the Craft Brewer's Conference that was in town .
The Bauernwurst was amazing and the several brews I had were too! Thanks to this place, I'm only going to be able to look at 3 cars in a row before bathroom visits at the carshow!
Surprisingly good beer list . Girls are all dressed with laced stockings and high shorts . Also, they're all NICE people too! Enjoy the brew and view .
Get the platter! The beer list here is extensive. It's friendly and tends to get a little crowded but it's well-worth the trip!
Good pub but a few beers leave you wanting more. Ask you bartender before deciding you know better that them. A little trust will save you some cash and skunk a bad beer .
The food was delicious. Some of the staff wasn't as great. It seems like a place where if you sit at the bar you'll have a really great time.
A handful of the draught beers are from PA. Cool feature is that you can purchase a bar key for $25 and have access to a selection of beers by the oz.
Great beer list and great wurst . Sit in the back on a nice for a big open window and nice breeze.
Great selection of rotating, interesting craft beers . Knowledgable bartenders . Cozy and warm, like a log cabin in the middle of center city !
Great place for craft beers , domestic and foreign. Catch a soccer game, or just enjoy any wurst platter. To go anywhere else is the wurst .
If you can't find a beer here, it probably doesn't exist. Great space - they even have "self serve" options.
How the beer wall works: buy a key for $5, load it up then skip the line at the bar and head straight to the wall to pour your own beer .
German sausages and to wash it down, a nice German beer . Ambiance ranges from quiet to rowdy depending on sporting events .
A very good selection of beers , the food is totally awesome, nice seating and very good service .
This is one of my favorite bars . Great service, awesome beer selection , and good food.
the currywurst is phenomenal! I'm a Berliner so I know good currywurst - trust me ;)
Fun place on a weekend night in Center City
Awesome food, lots of beer (including a self-serve station!) and environment.
Where else can you sample different beers from a self-serve wall and keep the beer tap key?!
The most amazing beer list in the world, surely, maybe the universe .
Great happy hour prices and GREAT beer selection . LOVED it here.
Great beer ! They also have a checkered table that you can play checkers on with their bottle caps.
Cool spot was surprised how good their apple cider beer was ( I barely drink)
Bratwurst is amazing. Potato salad is also really good
The liverwurst sandwich is outstanding. Simple, German, delicious.
$5 Cocktails TBA $4 Wine TBA $3 Beers TBA Half-Priced Appetizers TBA
Be careful at the beer wall , they're still working out the kinks!
Really expensive , but amazing for what you pay for. I would welcome more drinks in the $5-12 range, though....
Ask for your veggie burger to be cooked well done or else it will be mushy like mine was ☹️
They respond quickly to customer feedback..give them a shot for good beer and German fare!
Beer very good, but food deeply disappointing to those who know the real thing.
Great beer selection and solid food!
Smartphone dying? They have outlets at the bar !!! Who needs a coffee shop ?
I am not a spaetzle girl but theirs is delicious...a must try.
Great beers but the crowd is the WURST !!
You order your beer on iPads docked on the wall!
$5 mussels happy hour special !
Great for broing out...wouldn't go on a first date there tho ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Great beer selection . Eat before you get here, though, menu leaves much to be desired.
This place is pretty inconsistent. They also told me they had a $20 minimum on cards during sips, which is insane.
Beer and snacks I love it
Great beer , but as for the food it is nothing like German! Don't waste your money unless your drunk and don't care... Don't get me wrong it taste good... But it is NOT German!!
Burgers , gravy fries
Pretty good beer selection , but the crowd unfortunately tends to be a little frat-tastic.
Not my scene... Too many unnaturally hairless men drinking blue moon and women afraid to eat sausage for a German biergarten .
Try the Oktoberfest beer
Don't get the green apple beer . Smells funky
Super friendly bartenders and staff. Authentic German beer lineup. A - Mike Johnson
Great local beers, live music, and views of the river. Don't miss the fries with old bay horseradish sauce. - Kayleigh Harrington
Fun day drinking spot! You may wait in line to get in on a nice Saturday afternoon. Fun outdoor space to hang out/play games - Colleen Shea
Get the McGillin's Ale. The tomato spinach soup is great and you can't go wrong with the cheesesteak. - Angie Purcell
The beer garden is pretty chill if you go before dark. They have a great can selection plus a couple sangrias. They also have a sparkling rosé, which is my personal favorite. - Jessica Pugliese
The mussels and fries are great. Dipping the fries in the mussel sauce makes it - Daria Maidenbaum
