Bright and airy. Comfortable sofas and good selection of refreshments. If you have a long wait at King's Cross, would highly recommend.
Ask about the Hop on Board ale . It's exclusive to Virgin Trains East Coast and is sometimes available to buy in the lounge .
The self service coffee machines are a tad hit and miss quality wise, if in doubt make your own with the instant sachets for how you like it!
Appears the £5 advance charge is no longer policy with Virgin. No alcoholic drinks but nice snacks and good tea selection . Plentiful power ports .
Coffee and tea facilities are quality, limited juices , crisps, biscuits and fruit..free wifi...worth a visit
Selection of drinks (non alcoholic are free) and a few snacks and fruits .
This is what you're paying for, so hoard as many biscuits and crisps as you can. ????
Got a Yorksharian feel, from north of the wall. And mock statues for the culture feels.
It's nice and clean here but the coffee is a luke warm. A nice place to relax whilst waiting for the train though.
If you have bought any kind of advance first class ticket they charge £5 to go in. There is a sign once you've hauled your luggage upstairs to the lounge but not one at the main entrance. Rubbish!
Free pastries , coffees , soft drinks , fruit juices , fresh fruit and snacks . Why not :)
Some tickets have a £5 surcharge. Nice and comfy though.
Take lift next to Little Waitrose to access.
Free WiFi outside on seats while you wait for it to open on the weekend!
Very nice and cosy first class lounge :)
Not that much of a”first” or “class ” here other than place to sit down. Coffee machine , biscuits and crisps . Nothing else available at 9am.
It's not great - but it is relatively quiet and there are free drinks and snacks
Refreshments seem to be in limited supply. Still nice quiet place to wait for the train .
Free entry for east coast rewards members better than hanging around on the platform !
It's a fiver to upgrade an advance ticket but I you ask nicely and have a 1st ticket they don't seem to mind
Not a great level of service at the weekend sadly - no fruit , pastries or milk for tea !
First class for £3 - I love life..
doesn't open till 7am. Currently 6:30am. Annoyed
Empty fridges and just dirty
Loved it! You can choose the scarf of your favorite house. Personel is enthousiastic and they don't make a problem if you make your own pictures without buying one of theirs - Lincy Tyncke

Vastly improved since 2013. Reasonable place to use before or after a trip at the weekend to catch your breath for next leg of a journey. Staff polite and coffee and hot chocolate from the machine ???? - Plastic Pig
A handy place to relax or get some work done before your train. Complimentary copies of the Times. - Chris Phillips
Lovely secluded spacious lounge. Perfect to get some work done or unwind. Afternoon tea is delicious - Ronald DL
