I love this restaurant’s feel, oh and the food. The laid back neighborhood vibe is so comfortable . Café St. Ex’s commitment to the community and local farmers is just part of what makes them so great Read more

Great brunch spot . Amazing food (I got the veggie burger with cheddar hashbrowns and ate every bite). Small area but with little to no wait, I can't complain!

Keegan

The main bar is perfect for a weeknight date. Head outside if it's not too hot or cold and enjoy the tables. The downstairs on weekend nights with a DJ can get pretty wild.

BLT and the burger (rare with mushroom and cheddar ) - excellent. So was the pâté . Service was spotty but food made up for it. Great Lakes brew was solid as well !

Universal Em

The staff excels at service. Which kind you ask? Well , above and beyond of course. Ask for Noah, Pete, Ben, Owen, Dave, Pretty Ricky, Hill , Drake and Whitney #BestofTheBest #NoEricRoberts

Roxy K.

One of my favourite brunch spots . The cocktails are great, the food is delicious. Brunch ends at 4 pm.

Meg Biallas

Great cocktails on the first floor - come in around 11 for a nice drink, then head downstairs for a dance crowd that really knows how to have a good time!

Jim

This place can't decide if it's the local bar or the U St. Hotness, but in a way it's both. The beer selection is eclectic , the menu is inviting, and the bartenders are both.

John Baker

Cute little place with outdoor seating right on the corner. The food is delicious, try the Fried Green tomato BLT

Rian

Good happy hour and a really cute patio . Late night dance parties in the basement are also a fun time!

Chris Policino

This summer 2016 gnocchi is a hit! Get it while you can. Duck confit , asparagus , pecorino , peas - yes please!

Chris Fredericks

Brunch ! Reasonable prices and homey yet "from the farm " food. Service can be hit or miss but we keep going back.

Diana Brody

Get the slow-roasted lamb . Sit on the patio under pretty twinkle lights. Super romantic .

Paul Weidinger

The downstairs bar is great for a seedy dance spot. But if it’s empty, try Codmother down the street

NightScene

By night, Saint-Ex is the bar with all. Weekdays is perfect for a drink and chat at the main bar , come weekends, the downstairs dance floor ha a DJ and is packed all night.

Yong Kwon

Great sazerac . Will be back for the food. They had me at pork belly bites.

Katie Buckner

They have malort, which should make any Chicagoan over the moon happy

The Feast

Head to the basement lounge to hear DJs spin a variety of music , from Brazilian and soul sounds to more upbeat party music on weekends.

Jen Gushue

Get the Fried Green Tomato Benedict with a side of Tomato and Smoked Gouda Grits !

Gabriela Schneider

Caramel apple dessert is insane. Not for vegans . Porky deliciousness! Gracious service to boot

Stills

Try the "Bees in a Beer ": an IPA mixed with honey and Wild Turkey . Hoppy + sweet, and it even comes with some honeycomb to chew on.

Edson C.

Great brunch , mimosas are mostly champagne and the food is awesome,.the place is very friendly and prices are good.!

The food is a bit overpriced, but the basement bar makes for a very fun night. Watch out during the summer, though. It can get very hot down there very fast.

Nyc Labrets
