Get the Niku. No one knows about this place yet. Not sure why. No wait. Also takes resos.
The tantan udon was delicious and just the perfect amount of spice. Huge serving! Service is great and good tunes food the ambience. Green tea is made per serving with powder, delicious.
The best udon I have ever had. Noodles are unbelievably chewy perfection, broth is rich and not at all greasy. Bowl with tripe and the Nabeyaki are amazing.
Easily the best udon place in the city , and a little larger than its sibling in East Village . Come hungry and get the Niku, the amount of food is a lot larger than you might think.
Kani ankake hot udon (crab egg drop soup base) for cold days, jaja (spicy miso pork ) cold udon for hot days. Takes credit card .
Perfect for a winter day. Curry udon thick and flavorful. Maybe add a few more toppings for texture diversity. The cucumbers appetizer is priced beyond comprehension and skippable.
Chikara Hot Udon was great! Start with the Edamame and finish up with the Green Tea Tiramisu , you won’t regret it!
Bigger space and less busy location than it's popular East village counterpart .
Amazing food with such big portions ! Can’t go wrong with any of the hot udons w/ side tempuraaa
Soup was light yet extremely flavorful. The udon was just the right amount of chewiness and doughy-ness. Will be coming back!
The Raku has quickly become my favorite spot for weekend brunch . Tucked away in a charming garden setting, this cafe offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city .
Udon noodles here are amazing, it’s chewy and soft, the best kind I had in a long time
This place is a must if you love udon . The noodles have the perfect bounce. The place is larger than its East Village counterpart , but getting a table can take just as long.
High quality udons ! Not the usual gluten-y thickness. Hot and cold udons
Amazing and low-key udon spot. Make sure you try the starters (duck breast was phenomenal) as well as the udon . Reservations recommended.
Just like the East Village location, except roomier and takes credit cards .
Adore this place immensely. Bigger than their EV spot. The cold udons are amazing.
The curry chicken hot udon was the best I’ve ever had anywhere. So much flavor.
No better feeling than having the ja ja cold udon on a hot summer day. Don’t skip the side dishes—I could eat the mackerel sushi every day.
Really liked the gyoza & my udon shrimp tempura . Would come back!
Udon is a MUST. Doesn’t matter what kind.
I recently enjoyed a great meal at "Raku." The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure everything was perfect, and the ambiance was fantastic.
Udon noodles hit the spot on a cold day! Great location in SoHo however Raku also has a location in the E. Village .
The udon here rocks. As do the small appetizers like hijiki, kinpira, & daikon .
I ordered udon noodles . Awesome noodles I've ever had in a long time.
The ingredients are always fresh and locally sourced , resulting in dishes that are both flavorful and wholesome.
Tan tan udon is spicy and delicious
Best udon noodles ever!
Searching for places to eat in the local area and this place popped up. I don’t normally leave reviews but I feel compelled as the food was absolutely exquisite.
Udon is awesome here!
Highly recommend the cold noodle dish with pork .
Udon noodles seem to be quite popular here. Great location in SoHo.
Don't worry about the appetisers just go for the udon !
Same as the one in east village but they take Resy!

Sizzling sukiyaki udon is so warm and luscious. Every bite is pure goodness. Don't miss the spicy tuna tartare cones. - A Zakheim
Spicy Korean Udon is delicious. Not really spicy but enough spice to enhance the flavors quite well. The Taiyaki Ice Cream and the panacotta are both great but the panacotta is better - David Lexus
Massive shop, mostly outdoor seating. Sundae bar/parlor and walk-in pies cakes rolling out soon. Great staff and 88 flavors ???? Banana agave is rich, Macadamia Butter Passionfruit is an EXPERIENCE - Kevin Yeh
