An actual balanced, unromanticized representation of the very real injustices of the plantation era. Fascinating and pleasantly presented tour .
Having never been to the South, everyone said you have to go to a plantation. We chose McLeod Plantation. So glad we did. Our guides Paul and Toby gave information and made you think. Highly recommend
Sarah was our tour guide and was hands-down the best we've ever experienced out of all the plantations and historic sites . McLeod is a great experience and everyone should go.
Our tour guide stated that each of the 4 employed guides give a different tour -- kinda odd. There isn't a ton to see here, but it's still neat to learn about the local history & culture.
The guided tour was great! Highly recommend. Especially if you’re a white person living in America.
Excellent, informative tour . Daily life, from the slaves perspective. Also, life on the plantation after the civil war. Enlightening
Recently opened the place is still on its way to being interesting. But for now the $10 you put in is more of a support move. Not enough historical proofs.
Take the guided tour
It was OK and the women up front didn't seem so excited
We liked Fort Sumter, it was very educational. Try going the last boat of the day. They lower the American flag and the commentary is quite interesting. We also loved the boat ride back and forth. - Nancy Margolis
Absolutely incredible. I love the gardens and fountains too. - Lou B
Very interesting. Our tour guide Stephan was terrific - he shared a lot of fascinating history within a brief 30 minute tour. Don't miss the exhibits on the top and main floors. - Debbie Curtis-Magley
It's a sight to see, pictures are great but you need to visit this amazing tree. ???? - Selmice
Everything at our table was excellent! Great place, great staff. Blackened flounder, shrimp tacos with bam sauce, catfish and more!!! - Doug Conn
Great view, service and awesome food. The flounder sandwich is really good! Get a seat on the water and watch for dolphins off the dock. - Ryan Westenberger
