Naveen & I built 1/2 of the foursquare prototype here (mostly at the back table near the bathroom ). The "mayor" feature in 4SQ came from our buddy Chad making fun of us for camping at that table :)
Excellent huge space that's great for working & plenty of coffee/snack options. Seats in the front get a lot of natural light & the back is fairly dark, so you can choose whatever is best for you.
Can definitely get crowded at times (it’s right on NYU campus) but it’s a great (and pretty roomy ) place to meet someone for coffee or get some studying done! Try the Iced Matcha with Oat milk !
I love this place, the coffee and bakery is delicious, good Internet service and power outlets everywhere!
This is my favorite cafe in the world, the vibe has a community feel. Other than the fantastic addictive coffee , it’s a place you can hang out and work, read, play board games , people watch
This spot boasts a large space , filled with seating and tables and free wifi , perfect for relaxing with a cup of coffee , or getting work done. Not a coffee drinker, but the iced tea was delicious.
One of the best coffee shops in the village to grab a table and work with your laptop. Open late . Has enough ambient noise and background music to reset your brain when you need to.
Very spacious , friendly staff , and above all else good coffee . Usually crowded during the academic year but stop by during the holidays or summer for a cozy break.
Lets admit it folks Think coffee is a life style. After I grab my book from strand I like finding a nice round table close to window for some people watching besides I adore their coconut-carrot cake .
Cozy , lots of seating. Went on a Friday night and it wasn't busy at all. Had a great cup of tea in a massive mug, and the barista was real friendly . Music could have been a bit more mellow.
Great for posting up. Coffee isn't special but I like it here. Johnny boy sandwich is a childhood favorite
part of the Foursquare prototype was built here, so you know it's a productive place! spanish latte to caffeinate, turkey + brie on fennel bread to eat and lagunitas IPA once you're finished. do it
Best hang of Think's 5-shop mini-chain. Each cafe has a different design + ambience. On Mercer Street, it's roomy ; seating includes sofas w/coffee tables + banquettes. Wi-Fi. (Orig. review 10/23/11)
In Cyprus I was introduced to the world of Frappe and did tastings tests with canned coffees . I developed an acceptance and liking for coffee in their cold state . Before then, coffee had to be hot.
Insanity of the NYU variety, but with a great vibe. Solid lunch options, great environment with Washington Square Park right outside for walking meetings.
More than coffee ! Try some food with your latte . High ceilings , outlets, quiet enough music , and a great ambiance. Work and people watch .
There is so much seating available to post up and work or study, but I didn’t see any outlets, so be sure to come with your laptop charged!
If you want to sip your caffeine with style, order a medium latte , small cappuccino , or single espresso to get it in a porcelain cup.
Nice place to sit and catch up with a friend. Delicious espresso and a relaxing vibe . Look for a table in the back.
nice stone tables for working alone and a common area to chat or do work with friends. I liked how they used recycled wood!
An NYU mainstay, where Foursquare was conceived, this Greenwich Village shop is Think's original branch. We appreciate the many seating areas, wifi , plugs, food & rotating pourover offerings. Read more
Classic coffee shop with some tables and chairs to relax and read a book , people watch , or just use as your own office !
Great Think Coffee location to get some work done if you can grab a seat at one of the banquettes. Oh, and the coffee is pretty good too.
Coffee is fantastic. A lot of seating, but tough to find a spot in the late morning through late afternoon. Great for people watching ....But the bathroom was so dirty I nearly threw up!
One of my favorite places to get work done. Good coffee , decent wifi , outlets!
Grab a Spanish latte and chill on the couches in the back, or on the armchair at the front window. Try the grilled cheese before you head out.
Great coffee and they never burn the milk for your latte , or their steamed milk specials!!! It's a great spot to hang with friends.
One of those great New York City discoveries lies beneath Think Coffee's Mercer Street shop: a free, weekly coffee tasting, Fridays at 2 p.m. Upstairs, try single-origin El Salvador Pacamara coffee .
As you ponder life in the bathroom , let the stickers and graffiti surround you, inspiring you to spark revolutions you didn't even think would ever happen, to change the world beginning with yourself.
Usually crowded , but the turnover is high enough that it's not too hard to snag a seat (if not a table). Wifi can be spotty, but great place to get your creative and entrepreneurial juices flowing.
Can get crowded , especially if you're looking to get a seat & table - go early
Get the Brasil single-origin drip coffee . Completely different flavor - kind of sweet and rich and nutty all at the same time. Great way to start the day.
Great space, though WiFi can be slow/flaky. Not an issue if you have your own hotspot or your productivity isn't reliant on fast Internet . The former, in my case :)
This spot was productive enough to serve as a launchpad for Foursquare back in the day, and there's still plenty of varied seating and power outlets . Read more
Just had a wonderful sandwich , although it was a bit too cold for my taste. Smoked turkey , pesto , brie and cranberry jelly on a raisin bread . Would certainly have it again!
Nice place to work , though you might have some trouble getting VPN through the WiFi .
huge space for working and open late every night (11 pm!)
Think Coffee is adorable and much more personal than any Starbucks will ever be. The baristas are friendly and artistic in their work. The atmosphere is great, there is Wi-Fi and comfy couches , tables
Probably the best place to study with friends. Lots of seats and good coffee , chai and seasonal cider
Nice place to grab a coffee and read, chat or relax. Lots of students doing homework. Nobody really bothers you, nothing pretentious . Would return
Good coffee , great place for working. Wifi code is security
Sit down. People watch . Suck down some of the best espresso in this part of town . It's hard to go wrong with any of the food, and it's staffed by pretty rockin' dudes. But seriously, people watch .
Excellent coffee , plenty of outlets, and chill vibe = best place to get work done in the East Village . ☕️
Biggest of all the Think Coffee shops (free wi-fi, huge and tasty grilled cheese sammies, beer + wine and great open mic , poetry and live music events ) Read more
Great location for studying till late-night, but using wifi here requires some patience. Otherwise, coffee and lattes are great! ;)
Try the Plain Bagel With Nutella - I have come back to think coffee after 3 years just for this. I cannot stress how much I love it!
The macchiato is quite good and you get the coffee in a mug (at least the macchiato ) so that's definitely a thumbs up.
Iced red eye is great! Staff is nice and not annoyingly chipper in the morning. (You know what I'm talking about!)
A student's haven for late night studying, come here for good coffee , free wifi , and a very underrated grilled cheese sandwich !
Fair trade coffee . They actually travel to the origin to verify. Great place. Plenty of tables to sit and work.
Long line but it goes by so quick and the staff is so much more cooler at this location. Love their lattes :) - Nicole Velez
All Xmas latte flavors (caramel brûlée, gingerbread, pumpkin spice) are sooooo good!!! - Lucilla Comis
Iced Hibiscus tea is really good and very refreshing. Highly recommended! - Leo Medina
Always an amazing mix of people and entertainment. One of my fav spots to lay in summer. - Barton Smith
Great selection of smaller films. Perfect location. Usually not crowded. - Madm Fia
