Very unique hotel and complex which offers plenty to do. The Trolley ride and Model Railroad Museum are great. The Station House with singing servers was well worth the cost. We will return someday.
I liked the entrance in the old train station . It is magnificent. The whole idea is really cool of bringing an old train station back to life. The pools are pretty and the food at the gardens was good
Great hotel for for family fun. The Trolley and the driver were very infromative about history of the Choo Choo. Plenty of food outlets especially the Station House with singing servers! Will be back
Had a great time!!! Hotel needs some work on the rooms but overall nice place!! Lots to do restaurants , aquarium , nightlife, music !!! Lots of shopping places, train ride, very historical place!!
Stayed here several times in the past but this time we decided to stay the weekend in one of the passenger railcars. Enjoyed our stay and our evening walks along the gardens and gas lit lanterns.
We just returned from a weekend getaway to see a concert in Chattanooga, and our accommodations were at this historic hotel in a train car . we were pleasantly surprised by this gem of a property
I was glad I got to visit such a historic hotel . I arrived early and was allowed a early check in. My room was clean spacious and comfortable . I quickly learned my way around the property.
It is a wonderful experience to stay in the old train cars and Chattanooga is certainly worth a trip. The aquarium is second to none - and I have seen many.
The hotel is conveniently located in the Downtown area. Overall atmosphere and environment is very impressive, there were lots of activities around. Overall it was a worth a trip!
It is a great resort . The station has been updated into a grand hotel lobby with a restaurant and bar and the rail car as hotel rooms was a brilliant idea.
We stayed in the train car and had so much fun! The rooms are old, but they are true to character of an old train car . The gardens are very pretty
Fun free thing to do in Chattanooga..see the lobby, which was the original depot, then step out into the gardens and see the trains. The model railroad museum is only $4 a ticket
The oversized chess and checkers and other games in the back near the gardens can be fun to play while walking around that area of Chattanooga.
Check out the train , a few stores, a night club . Play outdoor chess and checkers , walk the gardens .
Didn't stay here, but checked out the train , souvenir shops, and the place has done nice bars and comedy club..would check it out again
Sleep in a train car that's a hotel room on the old tracks . Station is the lobby. Ride the electric trolley and see the Chattanooga Steam train , plus a kick ass model railroad.
Check out the train , a few stores, night club . Play outdoor chess and checkers , walk the gardens .
Lovely grounds. Outside pool good but overlooked by old gruel breeze lock type apartments . Nice indoor pool too. Gifts shops available.
They were a comfortable place to end our day. tony at the front desk was very nice and knowledgeable as well .
The Choo Choo is a great place to visit. Our stay was more than I expected, combining history with convenience and comfort
3 swimming pools . Awesome scenic garden . The lobby under the dome is incredible!
You can get a room here on Priceline for $53. It's worth $53. You'll be disappointed if you pay the reg rate which is over $100. It's dated. Free shuttle to downtown leaves every 5 minutes.
The whole experience here is great. The food is excellent and the service in the restaurants and hotel has been superb.
If you don't want to stay. Just walk in and eat at The Garden restaurant . The lobby is cool.
Book rooms through a site like Expedia or Orbitz. Saved $40 on train car room over reserving it through the Hotel 's web site.
Amazing hotel . Stay in the railroad car hotel rooms totally worth it.
The train cars are actual hotel rooms ! Free shuttle will get you here from most anywhere downtown.
It's free, it's cool, and there's a lot of history here. Check it out!
The lobby is beautiful. We didn't stay in one of the train cars , which look quaint— the rooms feel a bit like an aging Holiday Inn . Not bad, but far from@luxurious.
The grounds are well kept. Kids will probably love it
Great location and very large site with beautiful grounds
If bringing kids make sure to book a package on the website, well worth the time. Rooms are dated but staying in the train cars is too cool.
Cleanliness, lived up to expectations, gardens were gorgeous!
Stay at least one night in the Victorian train car just to say you did it. Friendly staff .
We came with two small children, ages 7 & 3. They loved it.
If you go to the cafe espresso try the sweet tea it's AMAZING!
Amazing and original hotel !!
If you stay in building 3 make sure you ask them to put you in a room closest to the front office . Wireless doesn't work on far side of building well if at all.
Kitschy historical attraction , with food options and little shops, but a long outdoors haul to the hotel buildings. Room felt like a rundown interstate motel , with no sound proofing. Needs renovation.
As a staff member I want to thank all the guests. Yall make my day when im at work. Come by and see me sometime!
Park free at the hotel and rid the shuttle downtown. Comes every 5 mins. Save gas, time, and money!
Depends on where you stay. Grounds and lobby are nice. Stayed in a hotel room , not a train car , and the room was nothing special. Quiet , bed was HARD.
Double check your hotel room to make sure it's clean . This place and old and moldy. Some of the nearby areas are unsafe. I feel dirtier after I get out of the shower here!
Really a fun place to go! Book one of the packages on their website if you have children. Well worth it!
The rooms were nice and big
Very nice place. Killer deal on priceline!
Check out the trains and some shops. Then catch the bus into town .
This could be a terrific place to bring tourists into Chattanooga. EVERYTHING is run down, and not Maintained. We were the only 2 people staying in the entire hotel . Dirty room, did not stay
Fun place to stay. Check out their aquarium and IMAX theater packages.
Come by the Silver Diner . Experience dining on an authentic train car . =]
