Real Lao food. Be adventurous, it's worth it. Can't miss: naem khao (crispy rice ), any grilled meat (ping), sai oua (sour sausage ), than mak hong (Lao papaya salad , funkiness at its best).
If you're waiting for a table order a drink at the bar and snack on the crispy delicious Lao Curry Puffs ກາຣີພັບ
Naem Khao ແນມເຂົ້າ is a wonderful dish full of flavor and textures, highly recommend! Crispy rice , coconut , lime , scallions , sour pork , peanuts , cilantro , with lettuce wraps .
Fantastic Laotian food. Naem Khao is a super tasty coconut rice salad with sour pork ; Piing pork skewers with spicy chili sauce delicious too.
Fried quail whispers of ginger , garlic , oyster sauce but shouts of white pepper . Delicious. Sliced pork sausage eaten with matchsticks of fresh ginger is charcuterie by way of Southeast Asia . Read more
Just wow! We had nothing bad. You have to get the curry puffs , the salad with the sour pork and peanuts , the fried quail and the sausage dish with the ginger sticks. Also excellent Old Fashioned's
The Chuenh Tofu ຈື່ນເຕິ່າຮູ້ is a divine appetizer - crispy tofu , spicy house sauce , and scallions .
It's asking what's good...well everything is good. I mean ridiculously good. Get as many things as you can and share! Such reasonable prices too
There’s a lot to pore over on the menu, so start with an order of pork sausages and sweet chile-laced chicken wings and go from there. Read more
One of the best dishes here is the tender and savory Ping Lean - grilled beef tongue .
The chicken wings are gluten free and INCREDIBLE. We loved these, papaya salad , sticky mango rice for dessert ????
Fantastic flavors. Sour, tangy , spicy , savory. The fish in banana leaf was delicious, and the pork sausage was fresh and juicy. Loved the sticky rice appetizer .
Don't miss the Pak nam: crispy watercress with shrimp , tamarind sauce , mango , green apples and cashews .
Tasty! Def get the lemongrass pork sausage . The pork skewers were a little ok salty. Got some pork belly plate that was too salty too. It's like Thai with a flair. Mango salad was good. 3.5/5
some of the best food I've had in DC. Try the skewers , fried rice , and the sausage if you're trying to play it safe.
Best damn curry of my life. Jungle menu (specifically the spicy papaya salad ) is for fun, adventurous masochists.
They take reservations by phone, so all you have to worry about is how many orders of curry puffs you want.
Lived up to the expectation. Must go back for more :-) great happy hour prices.
Everything on the jungle menu is super spicy . Overall amazing flavor and the fish wrapped with nana leaf is great.
Amazing! Crispy rice salad was the best. I don't even know what made it so good! Everything was great though. Such a delight.
incredible Laotian cuisine. the brunch here is wonderful. Papaya salad is ????
Fantastic large plates from curry to fried rice to banana leaf wraps . Chicken , beef and sausage were all delicious.
Must haves: pad thai , beef tongue , sun dried beef , and the cod .
Incredible food. The fish (all of them) in banana leaf are heavenly. Friendly staff .
The pork jerky and the alligator laab were the best dishes we ordered, I’d recommend both!
Definitely the SIIN/MUU HAENG W beef , NAEM KHAO , and pumpkin sticky rice dessert .
The curry and beef jerky appetizers were the best things on the menu. Coconut curry soup was tasty.
everything is great, but the crispy rice and coconut curry are incredible
Tofu appetizer and Mak Paa are awesome!
It's... adventurous, I'll give it that. Don't think I'd return, though. The sticky rice is great, so there's that!
Beef jerky is great, wings and curry puffs are very fried.
Man that cod wrapped in banana leaf dish. That is all. Try it. Now.
Great variety and authentic flavors. Service was great
The dumplings are soft then crunchy.
You can't go wrong here. Eat until you explode
All good. Wings , jerky , soups .
Everything. Very authentic .
Eat the crispy rice . You will not be disappointed.
The jungle-menu extra-spicy papaya salad is no joke. Eat with caution.
Any of the noodle dishes—wow.
Get a papaya salad they packing heat but flavor too
Be adventurous; your tastebuds will thank you.
Everything
Not the best Laotian I had, but decent food. Beef jerky is good.
VERY Spicy options.
