A more spacious version of the North one. Good food and drink (but still no full English breakfast !), with comfortable couches and seats. Quiet areas for sleeping, showering and plane viewing .
Overall crowded . Hard to find a power socket. Food is amazing. Drinks are great. Magazines & newspapers are a plenty. This is a generally good lounge , no complaints besides power needs
My favorite spot is in the back where you can sit at a glass bar by the windows and watch the whole spectrum of activity, from check-in to security to people boarding, planes at gates and the runways.
Champagne is available all day long, even at breakfast ! Just find a member of catering staff and ask, they'll bring you a glass over :)
Amazing first class lounge for Gold card holders with proper food and luxury drinks. Better than North by a mile, and less crowded .
Nice warm smiling greeting at the reception into spacious calm large lounge with wireless charging at seats. Lots of hot and cold food choices including porridge .Union coffee points. Near low A gates
Way better than the North lounge . Comfortable , cleaner, cooler and less crowded . Also seemed bigger. ????
Great lounge . The back sits are the best with a great view on the runway. Champagne is available on request so may you be celebrating something don't hesitate :)
Better than the North lounges . Breakfast is good. Croissants , quiches , toast , jams , little bacon sandwiches .
The chocolate-dipped cookies with candied ginger next to the espresso machines are fantastic. The breakfast spread is always great, but the lunch/dinner offerings are lackluster.
All BA lounges well signposted after security, however this one is the furthest to get to. From security, go down to level 2 and walk south. Less confusing getting a lift up than the two escalators.
Decent airport lounge , did not see the North lounge so hard to compare. Food and drink options were good, champagne available on request.
Up two floors, huge seating areas, offers baked goods , egg soufflés , hash browns , juices , espresso , yogurt , fruits
South lounge is a pain to get to compared to the north, though feels a bit less corporate than the north lounge . Ample selection of drinks and decent food with a lot of space and seating.
Pretty funny that they make you walk through the infinitely superior and more exclusive Concorde room to get into the lounge …
Very comfortable . Surprisingly loads of vegan mains. Bit thin on desserts but I'll take it! Everything labelled super well .
They now require visitors to book showers via a mobile device – but they are almost always unavailable. Instead, tell them your phone battery is dead to have them manually squeeze you in.
Way better than the North one. Heed towards the interior of the airport to find more place, including a long table with high-chairs where you have a nice view of the whole Terminal.
Always use the South lounge if you don't have access to the Concorde room . Way more space, better seating plus better views ...
I think it is a very good lounge for club class passengers. Spacious , clean (relatively) and decent amount of selection for hot food.
Unlike the Galleries First Lounge , there is no Champagne bar here. Instead, just ask any member of catering staff (in the brown uniforms), and they'll bring you over a glass or two to enjoy!
Larger of the two T5 BA business lounges . Good wine choice and decent hot and cold buffet . WiFi good too.
If you are departing from gate A10, you will travel by coach from the terminal to the aircraft. This means 1) BA won't allow you to bring a hot drink and 2) you will drive halfway to LGW to the plane .
You have to request a glass of champagne from the staff . No self serve.
As European lounges go, this is actually quite nice. The food and drinks selection is rather nice and there's plenty of space.
Looking for a lovely glass of red wine ? Try the Langmeil 'Three Gardens ' Shiraz Mourvdre Grenache blend from the Barossa Valley. Rich and generous yet balanced!
Good food and newspapers. Can get very busy but due to high turnover you will always find a decent seat.
Just as the north lounge these two lounges are for everyone who's traveling business (club world/Europe) or holding Gold or Silver card.
As of May, they have changed the catering contract, and the food offering had gone downhill a lot. If you're miffed about this too, go to guest services and let them know - they're collecting feedback
good breakfast , lots of lounge space, and great place to get refreshed before connecting flight
Nice breakfast selection , but if you want full English you'll have to go to the Star Alliance Lounge in T2.
Level of service is really good, but... I m surprised they only have Gordon's and Bombay Sapphire as for gin . What happened to good old and British Hendricks???
What's happened to the food. one of the greatest benefits was that you could have a hot meal before boarding. Now it's just stale sandwiches and old coffee beans. Bring back the old caterers !
Please be nice to the very hard working staff there.
Although you would expect more from BA, lounge food is acceptable, bar is good. Very spacious until it gets crowded .
Pop down to the elemis spa for a FREE treatment!! Free for club, long haul gold executive or first class travellers!
Just indulge yourself. Great food over the choice of champagnes .
The booze selection is fantastic! The food selection is bad though, but who cares!
Given the number of people posting wifi passwords you would think its a secret. Plus you can get 90 mins free anywhere in T5
You will honestly never see so many people hitting the booze before 9am anywhere else on the planet!!
Beware of thieves taking chargers as happened me today. They left the lead and took the plug.
Better than the North Lounge , but if you fly from a B gate head to the lounge in the B section. It is much less crowded .
Honestly better than north on initial impression. Unfortunately, we had to pass the first class lounge to get there but same food as North.
A little crowded at times, but you can always find a quiet spot .
Get the message at the spa and then watch with wonder as planes take off and you don't hear a thing
Impressive Club, although the need for airplane-style lavatories on the ground is questionable and not what I want before sitting on a 747 for 10 hours.
Club lounge on top floor, right and straight after security
Worth the walk from North lounge .
Better than the north lounge bit shared showers with another lounge . Seems to be getting busier
Fresh stocks of bacon and pastries . Bacon .
Calm calm calm great view nice Elemis spa nice choice of bars nice terrace. Good biz area and free wifi - Ifiiky1
Great food options in the morning - croissants, pain au chocolate, rolls, bacon, fruit, yogurt, porridge, and cereal. Wifi is too slow and not enough power ports. - Robin W.
Best ever experience... and it's not the queue.. but the friendliness of staff and welcome home at the end. ❤️ - Mariya Kirillova
