Heathrow Airport has shown commercial wisdom by saving money on a staff social club & integrating it into the security area. Nice to see that staff can relax and take their minds off work for a while.

The trick here is to put your brain into neutral and try to recover from the stress of the BA flight transfer setup, which none of their staff understand. Helping someone more stressed than you helps.

If you know what you're doing and have a newish passport (and the passport is from the EU), this is one of the fastest border patrols I've come across. They don't muck around.

It always busy but it depends on your arrival time as well . If you arrive on early morning it is much better from arriving on the afternoon or evening. Take in consideration you need around 45 minutes

Try and stay calm . It's hard but getting angry at the incompetence will stress you out and the staff don't care anyway.

Best ever experience... and it's not the queue.. but the friendliness of staff and "welcome home" at the end. ❤️

If you're an EU-citizen use the self-service e-gates and scan your passport yourself. Fast and easy!

Using your electronic passport is such a faster and easier way to go through immigration... Recommended !

Note there are different UK Border areas for connections and non-connections. Signs are confusing.

Use your e-Passport, but make sure on beforehand that the line is actually shorter...

There's a fast track lane for non-EU passport holders with Silver and up status on BA. Sweet!

Be patient...and make sure you remove your liquids or face delays with additional search!

Slow slow slow and then again slow. It took so long I celebrated 2 birthdays in the queue and those purple jacketed hosts are morons

A queue of over 50 people and only 2 staff - and this is supposed to be Britain's hub

They want you to remove all liquids . Even small bottles. Pretty thorough and strict. Never had this level of security before.

Fairly fast. Be prepared for questioning about random things

Hell, liquids in a plastic bag ??? Most airports stopped that more than 2 years ago ... Come on LHR, catch a wake-up !!

Maybe the queues wouldn't be so long if they put the right amount of staff on duty. Representative of complete disdain for customer service

On your landing card, for Occupation put "Hooligan" and try to look as shady as possible. They like that.

Would love to use IRIS but that would require that they reopen the office for us to register.

Avoid a Sunday evening arrival if possible — 65 minutes in line !

Third time I have been here with 2 border agency employees on duty on a Friday at 1730 pm. Expect long queues.

REALY strict, lost my axe hair product not because the liquids were too much but because the container was too big. They are much worse than the USA

The slowest "Fast Track " in the world! Up to 40 min queueing, and counting.

This remains a complete shambles

Always expect long delays - Minimum time - 45 minutes

It's a laugh really. RANDOM security checks on hand luggage, even those bags which are empty. Also: extremely slow. Waste of everyone's time.

Fast Track often isn't.

Efficient. Most friendly among Europe. Sometime its too long to wait. Make sure to have enough time for ur transit.
