Wantan mee . Locals in the neighbourhood seem to like Kim Huat #01-05. Noodles r chewy, wantans substantial. Ask for more vege & they'll oblige. Soup is tasty but tongue had a buzz, prob due to MSG

Cheen The Curious

Prata . Enjoyed my prata from 786 (stall #01-72). Attracted to it initially due to locals queuing up for this stall (instead of the others). Prata was chewy & not oily. Stallholders are a friendly lot

Jess Thia

One of my late night SOP here: Hock Ann Prawn Noodle & Bee Hoon Soup (S$3) +Chicken Wing from Bt Merah Nasi Lemak (S$1.20) +Muar Sugarcane Juice (S$1.50) +Carpark 30mins (S$0.50). Price has increased!

Cheen The Curious

Wantan mee : Impressed by big kailan vege portion served w WTM by Depot Road #01-84. Honeyed char siew slices were also generous. They give a mix of boiled & fried wantans. Sauce is mushroom-based

POSB ATM nearby, at next block 117, hidden behind lift lobby A

Cheen The Curious

Caifan (economy rice ). Affordable & tasty dishes from Ri Ye Ong Teochew Porridge #01-79. This combo $4.30. Be aware that one of the male operators is deaf; he’ll try to read lips, or u can point

Cheen The Curious

Teh peng (iced milk tea ). Luck Seng #01-31 pre-mixes the milk tea and stores it in bottles in his fridge . When u order, it's served over ice & is super chilled. Thoughtful!

Cheen The Curious

Lemon juice . Qing Tian Coffee Stall #01-43 serves this thirst-quenching drink with syrup . Nice on a hot day or with a spicy meal. $1.30

Can't believe we have an authentic Thai food in this hawker centre! I've try the Thai fried rice set . All I can say is 'two thumbs up'!! ????????die die must try!

Cheen The Curious

Carrot cake : While enjoyg plate fr Bukit Merah View Carrot Cake #01-37, discovered their lineage! Chk out Dr Leslie Tay's http://ieatishootipost.sg/2010/02/bukit-merah-view-carrot-cake-last.html

Cheen The Curious

Chai tow kway (fried carrot cake , $3). Average serving from Li Shan #01-82. . Old-school untidy fry. Chilli unevenly fried into dish. Hawker sprays pepper at the end, so let her know otherwise

Cheen The Curious

Chicken rice ($4). Pin Sheng #02-51 serves the real deal. Meat was juicy. Chicken skin was chewy. Rice fragrant. Chilli spicy . Served with a bowl of soup . Vege was an added order

Cheen The Curious

Fried carrot cake . The base from Unforgettable Carrot Cake #01-30 was inconsistent & overly soft for me. Overall dish lacked aroma (probably due to vege oil). This plate $3.50 +50-cents for extra egg

Cheen The Curious

Economy rice (chai png). Homestyle dishes from Traditional Curry Rice #01-60. Not overly oily. Curry gravy was thick & flavourful. Served with complimentary vege soup

Cheen The Curious

Fishball noodles . This upsized bowl ($4.50) from Fishball Noodles #01-03. Tasty but oily preparation. Will have to ask elderly man to take it easy the next time

Cheen The Curious

Curry chicken or fish . Na Na Curry #01-47 serves a delicious and really spicy bowl. Eat with rice or french loaf

Cheen The Curious

The area is named after red soil was uncovered during excavation in the 1950s. In Malay, Bukit Merah means “red hill ”. Source: Infopedia

Cheen The Curious

Bak chor mee (minced meat noodles ). Yummy bowl from Bukit Merah View Fishball Minced Meat Noodle #01-45. Very friendly stall owners

Stervey Lim

Come here for one of the energy-booster meal: Delicious Herbal Black Chicken Soup after outdoors night work. Open till about 10pm ✌️????

If you like Fried Bee Hoon , try Yip Economical Bee Hoon at #01-33. They fry up a decent dish and serves it with the traditional chilli sauce not the nasi lemak type you find commonly in other places.

Vincent Ang

Handmade Tai Bao from the vendor in the Hawker Centre is good but unfortunately doesn't have ideal packing for takeaway in quality ???? BYO if you plan to takeaway ????

Cheen The Curious

Yong tau foo . Tasty stuffing from Red Sea #01-59. Fried items are refried when u order them

Cheen The Curious

Parking at Blk 126A offers a sheltered access all the way to the hawker centre ????????

Md Raman Ahmat

786 Char Kway Teow . Best HALAL Char Kway Teow . Stall usually closed during prayer time.

Jess Thia

Fragrant & refreshing Muar Sugarcane juice from Qing Tian Coffee Stall #01-43. Nice :-9

Steven Sanjaya

Fruit Juice stall #01-73 is very nice! Got plenty of variety and they even have an accumulative coupon card where you can get a free drink after 10 drinks.

Tan Andy

The fish ball noodle stall at the corner is really good. Homemade fish balls received my two thumbs up!

Glenn Goh

Thai is good here. Corner stall. Tried the basil chicken . Spicy and licking good ????

Ammandaa Aion

I recommend the carrot cake here~! ???? Parking slots are full on weekends, more slots @ Blk 124A multi-storey carpark instead ????

Cheen The Curious

Sliced fish soup ($5.70). Disappointed with serving from Spinach Soup #01-16. For that price, I found only 3 slices (not thick) of fish , for such a big serving bowl

eric lee

must eat the carrot cake & 荣華魚圓面 + fish cake ...good! if u r not ordering the drinks beside it, then don't sit outside the pavement, many times ppl kana scolded by the drink stall owner...

Lewy Jones

Lan Xiang Ban Mien is worth a trip for delicious hand-made noodles

Ah Leong San

The economic rice stall @ 01-44 (一定好)sells very good mixed rice with freshly cooked ingredients. Value for $$$ too!

Sarah

Try the carrot cake , add egg (for both white and black versions)! Thou the black version is not fried evenly, I think the additional egg can help pull the flavors together. But the kueh is really so f

Jess Thia

Late night dinner : S$2.50 only with not bad Fish Balls Bak Chor Mee @ #01-45 (next to the Yu Zhi Jia BBQ ).

MAC

Cold & hot desserts at stall 01-13 is very good value for money . Generous portions priced between $1.40 - $2.20 on average

Cheen The Curious

Soy sauce chicken noodles ($3.50). Average bowl from Yuan Li Hai #01-18. Chicken was plump but lacked aroma. Generous with vege

Ngoc Trang Ly

Love the food here, very cheap

Heun Jx

The we western stall is really good. Huge servings and delicious! Do try it if you are here! :)

Cheen The Curious

Kaya roti : Heng Heng Coffee #01-23 may command a q in d mornings but after a bite, I was unimpressed by d thin spread of kaya , which also lacked any pandan fragrance. Half-boiled eggs were overcooked

Cheen The Curious

Wantan mee . Evening stall R&D #01-39 may have a long queue but noodles were average

Matias Singers

The duck rice next to the carrot cake stall is awesome!

serene siew

The carrot cake is good. So not, I repeat, do not, buy the herbal soup two stores from Bukit Merah View Carrot Cake . My soup was cold and gross

Shen Tan
