Josie Robertson Plaza (Lincoln Center Plaza)

This is my favorite spot in Manhattan. Love every single detail about Lincoln Center. From Met Opera to NY Philharmonic and its movie theaters , this place has the best of everything cultural.

Come in the afternoon and spend some time under the trees at a table, inside the music and performing arts library , or check out the lovely grass section right across from Julliard.

Home to New York Fashion Week and that stunning, famous fountain . In order to avoid tourists , come here at night.

The plaza itself is the gateway to Lincoln Center. A very pretty fountain with changing lights is the highlight of the place, perfect for a summer day picnic or just reading a book !

Nothing beats sitting by the fountain . Best spot in all of Manhattan (I'm biased because it's my neighborhood ) Relax, and do some people-watching.

Make sure you get a special permit if you want to use a tripod :( , You can still take pictures but you can't use a Tripod :)

In the movie The Producers (1968), the scene where Leo agrees to Max’s scheme was shot at the Lincoln Center fountain .

Even if we weren't catching a show, Barbie and I would always stop at the fountain at Lincoln Center Plaza . We loved taking pictures together in front of it.

Beautiful in in any season, but summer is particularly nice because of the frequent free concerts .

In 1981, photographer Henry Chalfant helped arrange a bboy battle between RockSteady Crew & Dynamic Rockers here. The coverage of this event introduced bboying ("breakdance") to the world at large!

This is a very historic site hosting some of the best fine art performances in the country .

From the Archives: On September 15, 1998, Fountain plaza was named the Josie Robertson Plaza in honor of the wife of Julian Robertson.

Still my favorite place to sit and people watch in NYC.

Favourite place to sit outside and read.

The rows are close together so get there early to avoid being a toe squisher trying to get to a free seat in the middle of the row.
