Metropolitan Museum Steps

I'll spare you the lame Gossip Girl References but sitting on the Met Steps is an NYC tradition that has withstood the test of time! Grab a coffee from Starbucks and catch up on your reading!

End your visit with a little break on The MET steps . (Gossip Girl shoutout) if you like Gossip Girl, spend some time on the steps because that's where they had yogurt every morning!

One of the best people watching locations in the city and also a great place to meet up with friends- just be very specific about where you are sitting

Very nice area to chill and eat before going in- however if your a local stay out the way there is way to much of the same thing all the time - seen the same guys dancing 100's of times

the Met is so good, even their steps are an attraction on their own. if you’re visiting or just in the area, definitely do stop by for some cool photos

It’s really nice to sit and chill during spring and summer ... but people still sit there winter time lol

Get a cupcake from The cupcakes & shakes cart at the bottom of the steps. The mooncake cupcake was topped with valrhona chocolate icing - divine!

Sit down and people watch . Just remember not to sit higher than the Queen B ;)

DON'T sit in the center!! People are coming and going and the security guard will come and ask you to move!

Grab at coffee at Dean and Deluca (at 85th and Madison) and enjoy the life of Blair Waldorf and her minions on these fabled steps.

The Met has over 150 statues without heads, and over 150 heads without statues – why don’t they just put them together?

Love the saxophone player who is here sometimes. He's great, and really works the crowd.

Ladies, if you have on a skirt or dress be careful while sitting on the steps men stand at the bottom and look up your dress !

De verdad que no me imagino a Blair Waldorf desayunando ahí con una fila infinita de aficionados al arte tratando de entrar al museo . :)

Nada mejor como unas escaleras con tantas culturas diferentes para hacer una parada y tomar un perrito .

Um dos museus mais fantásticos de NY!!! Comparável com o uffizi em Florença ... vale a pena demais...
