Formal park since 1887. Received trademark statue in 1906 although not named for Verdi until 1921. During 1960s-70s park went into decline & nicknamed Needle Park . Since cleaned up. More info in blog Read more
Grab some food to go at Fairway and then head here to enjoy it on a nice spring day. Watch out for pigeons !

Watch out for the 1000's of rats inside the fenced in bushes lol they tend to jump out of trash can late at night!

Live music here with cello and trumpet...wknd evening in summer/fall
Don't walk through the shrubs - you might find something unexpected.
Watch out for the pigeons in the trees over the benches - I was pooped on twice in 10 minutes!
