I've got a new view on this place since it was tarted up. Far nicer - has more character, better staff and great food. That's cause for a "hurray!" if ever I heard one.

Since the A la Mesa take over, this has become the best Stoke Newington pub for food. The vegetarian options are by far the best in the area. Do book ahead and don’t forget to check out their brunch .

Sunday Roast heaven, the pork was the size of my head and much more appealing I'm told. Very very satisfying and not too expensive . Will be back.

Dec 2014: The place has been completely refreshed and it's all the better for it. Great decor, wide selection of drinks but still top-end budget food.

Their veggie roast is treated like a proper main and not a side thought like most places. Good service and spacious too.

Go here for late night dancing and you'll definitely bump into a bunch of people you know.

Tremendous roast! Even though I didn't receive the food yet... Also love the wooden floor , feels like home.

Nice place with dj and music . People starts to dance on weekend nights.

Not the best roast in the area but I enjoy their regular dinner menu . It's a good spot on the corner for watching stokey go by.

Some of the chairs do not match the tables. The staff appreciate if you match them up correctly as they are very busy.

Even after having given this place a 2 year break it still has terrible service! This time round - they forgot one of our meals (my friends child was not happy!)
