Wonderful and wide selection of ales and ciders with friendly and helpful staff . Cosy space to keep warm and relax, next time I'll be back to fill stomach with food too.

Sunday roast dishes are great (specially the lamb shank ) but waiting forever for a table and, then having to go again a quiue at the bar to order your lunch just spoils the whole experience!

Absolutely top marks! Met a couple local friends here who recommended it for the ale selection and the Sunday Roast . A great veggie take on the Roast, and friendly and knowledgeable barkeeps.

Cozy little pub , very nice on a cold day. Gets very busy on a Sunday with everyone scouting for a roast. I got the goats cheese veg option , it wasn't great.

Craft beers ! The staff are generous with their time and super knowledgable . Also, great bar food and Sunday roasts . No music .

What a wonderful place to be in! Huge selection of beers from local breweries as well as international brands. Go and try the Augustiner!

Good place to have a chat - they have loads of different beers , and the inside looks lovely. But it's not a very dynamic/lively place.

Totally done up. No longer second on Stokey 's Fearsome Pubs leaderboard (the first will ALWAYS be The Rochester). Lots of great beers , nice atmosphere, and a kitchen that's open 'til 9.

A wealth of great ales to choose from (always changing), including mouth-watering Belgian trappist beer . And the burger is the best in Stokey !

Sunday roasts are great, but I feel considerably let down by the Saturday fayre. Death by oily batter. Calamari and fish n chips way too greasy and the lamb shank needs a steak knife to cut through it

This pub is AMAZING!!!! The most intersting range of beers and ciders I've ever seen, the food is beautiful and plentiful- the place is full, but not overly busy or noisy . Yeah!

AMAZING selection of beers (Brooklyn Brewery ale ), barstaff know what they're talking about. Not enough seats outside but to be fair its on a high street

Just reopened this weekend, it's a really great space with 9 ale pumps and Elliot Smith on the stereo! The food looked good too, even had a plate of bratwurst on the menu, what's not to like!

Excellent local pub . Get there early on Sundays if you want roast.

Stokey history fact:on the wall of this pub on Garnham st side you can just make out a mosaic which shows the duchess of Devonshire canvassing the jolly butchers for their votes for Fox from1800s

Sunday Roast is tasty but if your not a gravy fan ask for it on the side or your food will be swimming in it

The veggie roast is very nice and cheap ! Although the gravy lacks a bit of flavour.
