Warm, romantic lighting and a homey , vintage Italian vibe. Clearly a loved spot by locals. Good for dates - I saw a few families during dinner too. The spaghetti bolognese was just right.
Get the pasta limon if it’s in season. It’s friggin fantastic!!! Otherwise get the cacio e pepe with asparagus and ask for them to add pork belly on top. Holy smokes. It’ll change your life
Get here as early as you can - they have great specials but often run out early in the night. Don't fret though if this happens to you - everything on the regular menu is also very good.
Nice ambiance! The spicy garlic bread was INCREDIBLE. If you like spicy foods , it’s a must get. I got the cacio e Pepe and lasagna , both were okay.
Everything is simply amazing! Cash only ! Orechiatte pasta w the garlicky cauliflower for the win with a side of Maine Black Bass clams , mussels and shrimps !
This is one fine plate of fried calamari - light & airy
Good for dates . Try the pappardelle with mushroom + duck ragu - so delicious. Came around 8 on a Tuesday night and only waited ~5-10 min to be seated.
My home away from home in Brooklyn Heights. I enjoy sitting at the bar and being served by Marcello or Aldo. The clams and oysters are so fresh! All the food and service is splendid. Cash is king here
Solid neighborhood standard bearer. Soulful and straightforward Italian fare . Wait times can be a bear on the weekend, so better off going midweek (fyi-closed Mondays) or planning for an early dinner .
My go to place for great Italian in BKHeights. Solid seafood and pasta options. Heads up - Closed on Mondays and cash only .
Amazing old school Italian. Food is great but the servings are HUGE so be warned!
The service was excellent - the calamari for starters was superb - from what I saw in the dining room u could not go wrong with anything on the menu!
Unassuming Italian restaurant with an impressive (and affordable ) wine list .
Calamari was Amazing, Should have ordered the fett w/seafood, tiramisu was like tufts of creamy sweetness, service was endearing - totally recommend visiting if you're in the 'hood.
The gnocchi is heaven, as is the lasagna . Super cozy , cash only , strong bread pudding game.
The lasagna is phenomenal, the portions are really generous and the olive oil and bread is great.
Delicious fresh seafood , loved my seafood pasta and service is super friendly .
Chicken Milanese with salad and Giardina, eggplant parm and swordfish all were great.
Our local fave. It's all good. But no reservations or credit cards. But local checks ok.
Lasagna . Lasagna . Lasagna . Lasagna . Lasagna . Lasagna . Lasagna . Lasagna . Lasagna . Lasagna . Lasagna . Lasagna .
Handmade pastas and inexpensive house wine pours keep this cash-only comfort food packed on a wait come most weekends.
Get the eggplant . You won't regret it!
#StaffPick close to our exhibition at Brooklyn Bridge Park . AMAZING italian food ! A neighborhood-feeling place.
the food was great, but talk about awful service! legit had to flag down several waiters to order and get each part of our meal. such a letdown.
Mushroom risotto excellent. Service excellent. Nice atmosphere.
Amazing gnocchi and squash blossoms when in bloom
Once you get over the weird name, you'll find that this spot has fantastic Italian food ! (but really, whats up with the name?)
AMAZING food. The gnocchi was wonderful. The bread and oil were awesome.
Tagliatelle bolognese . You can even get it gluten free .
When they are running the risotto with rock shrimp and corn , GET IT. Also, the braised short ribs and polenta is amazing.
The food is absolutely delicious! The only issue I had was our waitress . Everyone else was super nice and accommodating.
Go for their seasonal specials . Had several wonderful surprises
Classic, old school, Italian restaurant . Cash only .
Everything is good! Strongly recommended.
I come always, I always tip generously, always a battle to get a table. Today, they didn't even try. I am taking it personally today.
Great place. Been going for years. All is good!
Great appetizers . Pasta cooked perfectly - but ragu and sauces were bland.
The bar is the best places to hang and get food. Amazing staff and such great food made any way you want. If I lived here, I'd be here a lot. A bit loud . But ok.
Lasagna , pasta dish with seafood and octopus !
get the fresh gnocchi . it's super pillowy and fresh.
If you're not wrapping up with the tiramisu , you're doing it wrong. Cash only !
Best pappardelle bolognese I've had in NYC
order the lasagna if you want a quick meal . you'll be in and out in less than 30 minutes. also, the house wine is $14 a bottle and it's good.
Love the freshly made fettucine ; however, everything else was fair to average. No need to go out of your way to eat there. Also, they are a cash only business.
Date #5, Tyla: Charming and well-priced; great date material. Make sure you have cash on you, though—nothing says "lame date" more than taking half an hour to run to the closest ATM 5 blocks away. Read more
Salmon dinner excellent! Caesar salad very good.
Suburban Italian-American fare in the heights. cash only !
Look down your nose at the Comic Sans font choice on the menu. Then order something tasty from said menu. Great good.
The restaurant is lovely and nice but staffs and services are not good as it should be. Slow and not very welcome.
Lovely atmosphere, great service and even better food.
My favorite neighborhood spot. I don't understand why it's not crowded ALL THE TIME! Hint: order Cacio e Pepe with Bucatini instead of spaghetti. Life changed. You're welcome. ???????????????????? - Teddy
Great views of the city! One of my favorite spots to settle in with a book at sunset. But BRING BUG SPRAY. - Leigh Anne Zinsmeister
