If you have a fear of heights, the spiral stairs may be tough as you can see through them. Even if you don't go all the way up, you can get some great photos.

Definitely do the Dark of the Moon Tour . They give you a tour tell you the hotspots then let you go free to roam. Also the 5$ EMF rental is worth it. Very fun tour . Worth the price. Bring water !
Everything is good here! Views , history, architecture , people, name it, it has it all!
Be sure to go on The Dark of The Moon tour it's the only one that gets you in the lighthouse at night, and one of the best ghost tours in the area, the lighthouse was on an episode of Ghost Hunters !
The lighthouse , grounds, and exhibits are very well done. This 165 footer is a must see lighthouse , I was able to check in my my archaeology colleagues at LAMP during my visit.

This is the first lighthouse established by the new territorial American Government in 1824. During WWII the Coast Guard trained in St. Augustine & used the lighthouse as a lookout for enemy vessels.
I just LOVE St. Augustine, every single tour has a magical aura, and history is "everywhere", beautiful view from the top of the Lighthouse
Very interesting information about lighthouse and family that lived there. I’d been there 40 years ago when it was just the lighthouse . Worth the trip

As long as you've journeyed the 219 steps to the top of the lighthouse , check out the Alligator Farm across the street, it's a great place!
If you can do it, the climb up the lighthouse ...219 steps...is worth it. Once up there the views are spectacular.
There are benches on some of the landings on the way up. Pace yourself if you need to and rest a while on them. It's over 200 steps, but worth it to get to the top!
219 steps to the top! It goes faster than you'd think.
219 stairs to the top, but so worth it!! Great breeze and view of ocean and stuff.
Great big light house with lots of steps
Get a lighthouse passport and get it stamped at every lighthouse you visit!
211 steps to climb and a super interesting museum this place is definitely worth it.
There platforms when you're going up the stairs for resting which is nice because there's obviously tons of stairs.
I did the paranormal tour and it was pretty great, but go on a week day instead of a Saturday so the group is smaller.
if you ever have a chance to go up into the light house ,do it!!! beautiful!!!
Loved this place,I did feel weird on the top level of light house
Matt is an extremely vibrant and exciting guide for The Dark of the Moon tour ! The young spirits really seem to love him.
Use the audio tour and take a break to enjoy the cold beer - served on tap !!!!
That was a lot of steps but well worth it! Beautiful view and landings in between for breaks
Don't be afraid of the stairs, the view is awesome!
Great museum and view of the area.
Was disappointed to find that they charge a fee of 10.00 just to enter the place whether you climb it or not. As a family of 6, I couldn't afford it. Got pretty pics from the outside though!
