Go to the bar next door, it’s just to the left as you walk in. There is no entrance off the street due to building zoning regulations. Very cool place to hang out before, after, or in between shows!
Newly renovated art house theater. It's got great decor and service. Screens are the same size as it we're before. But the film selection is a nice break from your typical box office chains.
More high quality repertory offerings for NYC moviegoers. the 15 dollar price point seems a bit unfortunate given that the theater lacks the novelty of a Metrograph but I love the look of the theaters
Very nice & modern theatre, u have to check out, awesome bar attached to it, very clean & comfortable seats
The Pacino retrospective was a treat to catch so many gems in 35MM. Love the renovation but no reserved seating and the theaters can be cramped.
Recently refurbished, but same awesome indie curation. You will probably bring down the median age significantly just by showing up
Some of the best movies in town show at this cinema .

Cesar's Last Fast is a great view of a great man and a very important period in American history. Go see it!
A lovely little art house in the heart of the Village . Shows a lot of movies you won't be able to see anywhere else. Good prices, but the seats are a little uncomfortable!
Nicely updated theater and great movies . Just not into the $16 no matinee ticket prices .
Saw The Unbelievers, cute interior, however, the seats are a bit uncomfortable. Also, if it's a packed house, you're better off in the front, difficult to see the entire screen with a sea of heads.
Nice, comfortable , small theater playing some great indie films . Perfect
Great independent films , reasonable ticket prices .
Had not been here in years. Total revamp and very nice, clean , comfy .
The cinema is cute , but the quality of sound and picture doesn't justify the $11 as it's really bad :-/ Great selection of movies though
Tiny theaters/screens showing interesting indies. Friendly staff .
Best independent movies and not crowded space
If there was an indie movie you wanted to see and it disappeared from a movie theater - it's probably playing here Read more
watch Hannah Arrendt in front of the university of exile, the new school for social research.
Has more character than any theatre in NY. Could use some more comfortable seats tho!
Still the most uncomfortable seats in the City , but at least the temperature was good last evening
Small, cramped theatres with uncomfortable seating...arm rests are too low. Plus $16 a ticket!!!
Great vintage films
Small but legit.
It might kinda get cold, ask someone who works there to turn heat on...
Absolutely essential NYC institution. Indie films one can't see anywhere else. Interesting programming.
Free China: The Courage to Believe Directed by Michael Perlman Opens June 7, Quad Cinema Read more
Quirky, independent cinema that isn’t playing anywhere else.
Havana Film Festival this week
Don't let the facade fool you. It's great place to see an indie film
Check out A Proper Violence!
screens are small.
I like this theater. Lots of options, comfortable seats. Popular movies get sold out so make sure to book in advance. - I K
Lots of room and plenty of theaters and they never oversell a show - Melody Gambino
Really good theatre. Doesn't get too crowded. Reserveable seats. - Karen
Salmon dish was yummy. Comes with lentils and a ton of steamed veggies, i.e. broccoli, spinach, salads. Yum! - Frederique D
grilled veggie with goat cheese app is great, be sure to get a bottle of house wine, very cheap, this place also takes reservations so call ahead, always a wait!! - Daniel Heller
Love the spice offerings at WF. Pick up some black cardamom, cinnamon and star anise for this Smoked Chocolate & Tequila Ice Cream. So, so tasty. Get the recipe on kitchenkonfidence.com. - KitchenKonfidence.com
