Ok, so the Disney-like tour through the history of whisky might be a bit phony. However, it all makes sense when you find yourself viewing Arthur's Seat with a flight board of whiskies to savor. Oh my
The visit at the SWE is very entertaining and it is a good place to learn the basics of the whisky . I would recommend the silver tour , the gold tour is 10 pounds more expensive for a 2nd tasting only
Whisky : a great learning experience for those new and even those who already appreciate a wee dram. Museum at the end of the tour is astounding. Don't forget to enjoy the view and a drink at the bar .
Very fun way to learn about the greatest liquid on the planet. The in depth explanation of the different regions was incredibly enlightening. If you can, do a dinner with whisky pairing. Delicious!
Wow!! A must if you're a Scotch Whisky aficionado. If you know or think you know some about Scotch , you'll still learn a lot and have a chance to try different regions of Scotch
Try the Whisky masterclass, it's a compact Whisky tour with Whisky tasting . And you'll be able to see the biggest Scotch Whisky collection in the world.
The ride to start is a quick, easy introduction to whiskey distilling, knowledgeable guides take you on a journey through the history and geography afterwards. Whiskey tasting is a great inclusion
Good short tour on how whiskey is made, with the different regions and tastes. Best is the end were you try the whiskey yourself (gold tour ).
If you like whiskey then this is for you. Do the gold package tour as that comes with 5 samples vs the silver which has just one. Also the whiskey store is amazing!
Go for the Gold or Platinum Tour ! The World's Largest Scotch Whisky collection which houses 3500 individual bottles ????????
We did the silver tour . I would recommend doing the gold because you get to try the 4 varieties of whiskey . It's a very nice experience that involves knowledge and fun.
We went one rainy day, and it was perfect! I found it very interesting and entertaining. It really pays the visit. BTW, you will have the chance to try a shot of whisky .
Everything you need to know on making single malt whisky and the different flavours from the different whisky regions in Scotland. Also very entertaining! If Michael is your guide!
Great intro to whisky , would recommend trying a flight to get an overview and then moving on to a local spot to enjoy a more authentic tasting
Had a good experience to discover Scotch whisky . Silver tour comes with a dram for sampling. There's a discount for students so have your ID
We just completed our tour with Lillian and she was amazing! Currently earning our membership into The Scottish Whisky Society. Would highly recommended.
A must-see in Edinburgh. Serves a compressed info-tour about Scotch whisky . The virtual tour is kind of childish but the tasting and gifts were well worth the amount we paid.
The Sample room was a-ma-zing! The collection and the talk was fantastic! A must see place
2x a year there's a distillers fair on the top floor. Visit on one of those days, your silver tour ticket comes with free entry (and more tastings!) to the distillers fair ! Check for those dates.
Amazing collection of whisky in this place. Every bottle is unopened, one of the best collection in the world.
It may seem like a tourist trap, but the staff is patient and knowledgable . If your on the fence about a particular one, the bar downstairs has most of what they offer. Had a really good experience.
Visit the new Scotch Whisky Experience for a sensational journey! Take a swirling, bubbling barrel ride through a replica distillery as you become part of the whisky making process.
Great experience! Take the gold tour and enjoy 4 additional whisky at the end. Absolutely recommended.

Great place to visit (even if you don't drink Scotch ) friendly staff . Loads of info about scotch whisky and of course THE BIGGEST SCOTCH WHISKY COLLECTION IN THE WORLD!!
I had this tour twice, take golden one. It worths the money difference. Also try a new whisky among a very large selection.
Even if you're not the biggest fan of whisky , this guided tour will have you craving it by the end. One of the coolest experiences in Edinburgh!
Great tour , very friendly staff , we took the silver tour and if you want , you can try more after your tasting ..
The bar has an amazing choice and the barman is great, he knows exactly what to give you according to your tastes.
Gimmicky tour , but very informative. Gold tour is £11 more than silver, but 4 additional whiskies (much cheaper than mini bottles or drams in pubs )
Super smart, nice and gentle people. You'll learn about different zones where wiskhy is made. You'll get a beautiful wiskhy tasting glass.
Pay for the Gold tour . You won't be disappointed. Great guide learnt so much. Ended up drunk ????????
A great introduction to Scotch Whisky for the uninitiated, and a worthy learning experience for the malt fans. Treat yourself to the gold tour .
Great introduction to Scottish whisky . Don't miss out on the smelling and tasting parts.
If you want to try a blended whisky and have bought the gold tour try it in the first tasting room . It's not offered later as one of your 4 samples.
Great experience! We really enjoyed it! If only the Gold ticket was slightly less expensive , it would have been great!
Brilliant tour guides all very knowledgeable and very friendly . Worth the tour for the fantastic bar and Whisky shop after
Great experience. Also got to taste some whisky and keep the glass!
The whisky tasting downstairs is great fun. And the shop could put a serious dent in a wallet.
Platinum tour is pretty good for the price - they include whisky tasting (as well as a presentation) and give you gift bags afterwards!
