A must when in Edinburgh! 4 storeys of fun. Start from the top down. Come before sunset to enjoy the views . Great for kids, careful with the stairs tho. Must try the vortex & maze!
I suggest going not for the camera obscura but from the views from the top floor where you can also learn about the history of Edinburgh buildings. Lots of fun if you go with someone else and for kids
SO MUCH FUN ! give yourself a decent amount of time because you can spend hours here - however if you don't get to do everything before they close, they let you come back, which is very cool!
We really liked camera Obscura today there are lots of things for the children and adults to get entertained with. Shop is expensive though. Good wee show up on level 5 before we began also?
Trippy good fun & absolutely worth it! Make sure you check out the top floor terrace for an excellent view of Old Town .
If you come in the evening around 6pm at winter time, you'll get 10% discount b'coz you can't see the view from camera obscura n if you have city tour bus ticket (hopon hopoff) you'll get 10% discount
A 100 thumbs up for this amazing museum ! I really enjoyed myself! Try and come at least 2 hours before 3 so you won't miss the camera obscura show
Seriously one of the best museums I've ever been to! 6 floors of optical illusions , lasers, mirror mazes , electricity & great views of Edinburgh
The whole experience was amazing! The view from the top is cool too.
A must go to if you are in Edinburgh. Quite mind puzzling and entertaining. Expect to spend about an hour or so.
Great view and tour using a cool mirror on the roof. Very interactive with all the different ways to play with link between your eyes and your mind.
Each floor unique and interesting. Timed perfectly for our show an hour and 15 after we arrived. Lovely staff .
Amazing fun place. A must go if you're in Edinburgh.
Brilliant fun and really interesting. Make sure you don't miss the rotating tunnel at the end!
Much better than you might expect! Our favourite part was controlling the CCTV cameras overlooking the city .
Standard adult admission price is £14.50. Home to some of the finest views of the city and also a whole range of extraordinary optical illusions .
Infinite lights and vortex tunnel are great. For photographers the terrasse is a great spot at the end of the day
Totally in love with it! The view from the top of the building is fantastic and the museum itself is so fun. Totally worth at least one visit (I'll come back sooner or later)
One of "A Must" in Edinburgh. Super fun! And worth money!! I choose to enjoy camera obscura rather than castle ????
Brilliant attraction , especially with kids. Try not to get lost in the mirror maze !
This place is amazing, some floors are creepy. But the spinning tunnel of lights thing is pretty cool.
Nice for kids maybe adults not too much, the rooftop is the best part. You will need at least 2 hour
A must-see place! Don't forget to visit the shop!!... maybe even better than the exhibition ...
Must visit the vortex tunnel and the mirror maze ! Had so much fun that I kept trying again and again
Nice place to spend time.
Great fun. Both the optical illusions and the actual mirror/view of Edinburgh were interesting.
Worth the entrance fee. The Ames room can provide endless amusement. The actual camera obscura worth going in for, but one for the kids. There's lots of steps up and down, be warned! Read more
A must-see for fans of optical illusions , holograms and photography . Small, unique and quirky. Worth the money.
Great place to spend an hour.
Top notch. Amazing museum , if you go after sunset , you'll get a discount .
Perfect for adults .. mirrors were so funny and the top view was fantastic
Amazing place lots of creative activities and many illusions... recommended.
Definitely must visit Camera Obscura shop. Cheap and amazing at the same time.
GREAT FUN! And a great way to spend a couple of hours on a rainy day.
Can get quite crazy when busy, but will keep kids young and old amused for hours!
I come here every time I'm in Edinburgh and it never gets old. I spend hours here each time.
Fun activity to do! Worth going ????????????
Had the best time ever! Do visit, especially if ur on a holiday with ur family!
going on a sunny day gives you the best view from the Obscura itself but there is more than enough to do on a wet day Read more
