The venue holds nice events , if you're planning to go to any event held here check their website then check the official artist website for tickets as there are lots of scams.

Solid gig venue. Great place to watch up and coming bands just before they go "stadium ". Consistently average to good acoustics in unremarkable settings

Balcony is reserved for disabled people who have requested space or a seat in advance, saves getting damaged by the crowd downstairs. You need to put in an accommodation request when booking tickets.

Park in car park at left of the building as you look at it from Oxford Road , buzz to enter and mind the high curbs, you need £2 (2 1£) to park no change given, no reverse so you best have it exact!

Fantastic variety of music on offer - cheap parking next door, and Kro bar cross the road for pub food !

Best tip, see the bands before they get big enough to play here. If you must, bring earplugs.

My favourite venue in Manchester!

No bottles, no glow sticks, curfew normally 11pm! Outdoor smoking area . Lots of loos bar in academy 1 and outside in main area.

Not particularly good sound, though passable. Volume levels about right. Bouncers vary between fairly twattish and almost reasonable. Expensive drinks, poor beer selection .

Cold if you're sat round watching roller derby in winter!
