It's not often you get such awesome food near main tourist attractions but this is a super gem! Food and service were EXCELLENT. Steak and smoked salmon were awesome!! Must try!!

Nice little place off the royal mile,reinvented haggis ,neeps and tatties was good.Fillet steak was perfectly cooked!Deconstructed rhubarb crumble was interesting but I prefer the constructed version????

I know I'm hard to please, but this restaurant delivers , big time. Food was great from start to finish, and the service was even better (merci Melanie). Main and dessert to reorder over and over.

We did a 6-course tasting menu . By far, the best course was our starter, the potato leek blue cheese soup . Everything after was anywhere from mediocre to not great. Wine pairing was also okay

Each time I come to Edinburgh, I come here; each time, this place surprises. From the imaginative cocktails and the wine selection , to the impressive entrees and desserts , it never disappoints.

I've tried such restaurants around the world, in the cities I have been. But this is one of the best meals I've ever had. The Steak and the chilled fish soup were both exquisite. Highly recommended!!

Excellent presentation and the food is brilliant! Waiter staff are laid back and have good banter so you don't feel they are in your face. Recommend for special occasion .

Service was very good. Excellent slow roasted beef which just melted off the bone. Wonderful deconstructed chocolate mousse too.

Great lunch deal , 3 courses for £18 and a refreshing choice of Pinot Noir from Transylvania (Calusari) not often found on a high street restaurant :)

Try the two course lunch special for £14.85. I recommend the pigeon breast for starter and beef rib for main. But beware the pidgeon comes rare!!!
