Unbelievable experience. Very gothic and romantic place . Book your table in Secret garden , its unique. Food could be better though... But its really doesnt matter, if u are in this fairy tale lol
Honestly, it was the best lunch I ever had. Simply amazing food and great staff . Go for lunch option, it's 18.95£ for starters and main dish. You'll also get bread and butter to nibble on in between.
Oysters followed by the venison are an absolute must! Have the Argentinian Catena Malbec blend! Absolutely beautiful!!! The ambience and food are an immersive experience into Scotland’s magic!!!
Beautiful venue at the Secret Garden . The venison was very well done, the chocolate sauce was unique and decadent. The trifle was also a great dessert .
Amazing place, always return back for best Brief Encounter session with someone, staff are will trained horses may have come straight from the army. Food always delectable, well presented.
Great food, the haggis , beeps & mash starter is the best. If you are a gin lover, try a Pickering's Gin (distilled in Edinburgh), it has a great flavour.
One of the most beautiful restaurant interiors in Edinburgh. Choose the 3-course set menu for £35, otherwise a bit expensive . Perfect for a special occasion dinner .
Great food. If you are a gin lover, try a Pickering's Gin (distilled in Edinburgh), it's got a great flavour. Well worth a visit when vin Edinburgh.
Very nice interior and the waiting staff was good. We had the 3 course dinner and it was nice but a bit pricey for what you received. Reservations are a must
The best restaurant in Edinburgh with the best staff , they make you feel at home. If you're in Edinburgh make sure you visit the witchery if you have the chance.
A deliberately theatrical restaurant , all old oak paneling, tapestries , silver candelabras and tartan, serving somewhat retro , but really delicious and suitably opulent food. Read more
I liked the food here, but the service was somewhat disappointing. Also sitting to a group of tipsy American students, who were shouting all the time, killed all the atmosphere ????
WOW WOW WOW the most beautiful suite I've ever stayed in. Meal at the secret garden is stunning and delicious
We got dessert and afternoon tea here. Service, food, and beverage were all top notch!
Beautiful atmospheric fine dining restaurant . Lovely menu. Would recommend the lamb Wellington .
Superior food and service. Great for a special occasion since it is on the pricey side. Make sure to make a reservation .
The suite walls are covered in lush fabrics, as if by one giant 360-degree tapestry . Wooden choir stalls stand behind giant freestanding baths. Read more
If you are coming here during the fringe and the Tattoo is going on at the time of your reservation you will need to tell the Police manning the barricades that you have a reservation to get there.
Excellent food and service. Desserts in particular were extremely good. Pricey , but very highly recommended.
Just plain opulence and excellent food. A must do if you're visiting Edinburgh.
Delicious food and great service. Try the Venison sausage with Blue Cheese Mash and Pear .
Subdued lighting in the dinning room made it very atmospheric and the food was spot on
Lovely restaurant and a great dining experience but I was underwhelmed by the afternoon tea .
Excellent food. Unhurried, despite huge demand. Wonderful service.
Great place to visit and enjoy!.nice people and the cuisine is great!
Worth the experience. Top rated restaurant in Edinburgh . Booking essential. Very expensive !
The scallops are to die for!
Stay in the hotel . The rooms are amazing, like sleeping in a museum .
Great restaurant and def worth a visit! The food wasn't all that amazing though!
I wouldnt bother with a coffee after your desert . £9.90 for two small black coffees is a bit much. Highly recommend overall though.
Nice place, good food. Had hagis, omelette and duck . yummy :)
Well drilled staff and food is delectable that makes me so horny!
What a great restaurant , excellent Scotish food
What a great place to eat. Top of the range dinner . So good. Book in advance of you won't get a table.
The cauliflower risotto is to die for!!!
Massive disappointment. Crab starter, awful, tiny bit of crab , under seasoned, crackling tasted of 0... £12!! The lamb Wellington was average, bland and everything tasted of nothing. Average pub grub
Food is pretty good but the price and service has much catching up to do. Shame if this is the best Scotland has to offer. Quite expensive so unless you feel like splashing out, avoid.
Good for a romantic date
amazing Scottish atmosphere
Very exclusive and beautiful place to have a dinner
The most amazing hotel I have stayed at it's like s ray of sunshine on this planet
Just one word to talk about this beautiful restaurant : Impressive.
Terrible food overpriced and inedible avoid. We couldn't find at our main it was a chore we had to leave.good service terrible food
Additional tip. Don't come to this place. As after having the main dish which could not be more over priced (the scallops ) and experiencing the atrocious service from the header waiter .
not my thing. Felt really claustrophobic even at the Garden . Not so friendly , food ok. Definitely overpriced, lack of fresh air .
This place is absolutely stunning! BUT the food is not great to be honest and staff quite arrogant.
Really romantic , superb seafood
OMG OMG I am so unbelievably happy!!! :))))
Over-rated, menu very limited, great wine list
Rhubarb is better. Sorry mate.. Better location doesn't make a restaurant better
A must to check out. Worth the hype. Seafood & BASIL ICE CREAM to die for. Staff was well above average! - Azalea Therese
Should be your first choice in Edinburgh. Excellent lunch, excellent fish! - Zozela
Superb location in Edinburgh, right on edge of the hip restaurant and bar scene. The WiFi here is shocking though, breakfast not worth it. - Alex Brooks
