Is that a hotcake ? I can't see my plate! The hotcake recipe is based on Grandma's pound cake recipe with buttermilk added. So good you better plan a long nap or a serious trail hike after eating one!
Great service, our waitress was consistently coming by to offer coffee refills. Great biscuits , on the denser side. Very packed but the staff was quick about getting people seated, served, and paid up
Great southern food ! Very fast even at 11:30am when they're busy! The BANANA PUDDING is a MUST!! Everything else was just as good but wow, if I ever drive near raleigh again I am coming back for sure
Fresh, homemade biscuits . The gravy is a bit salty; but good and chunky bits of sausage come along with it. Amazing and super friendly wait staff . I'll be back for lunch next time in Raleigh.
This place is amazing!! The omelettes are great and tasted the hot cakes - yum!! Great prices and great service to top it off!!
Amazing food and quick, friendly service . They give you a lot of food for a low price. I could eat here everyday! The homemade Chicken and Pastry is the best!
Bottom line the best southern style breakfast in Raleigh . Molasses on the table and everything!
The turkey sausage was the best I have tried this far. It wasnt dry at all and they cooked it just the way I like it-burnt.
I don't know when they changed their french toast from white bread slices to slices of heaven but I highly recommend it.
Everything I've tasted here is delicious...the meatloaf & Arnold Palmer , however, are my favorites!!
It's all good old fashioned home cooked food ...! The co.ham is the real deal.
Co ham is the real deal. It's all good ole home cooking at its best.
A great pancakes and country ham . Friendly staff .
Best old school southern breakfast in Raleigh hands down!
Everything is good. Made to perfection. Will return.
The food is spectacular but the service? Even better. The waitstaff is friendly and warm. Food like your grandma used to make it.
Amazing food, service. Best fat back since my Daddy cooked it.
The country ham is the best! Make sure to have the biscuits with molasses too!
Get a window table and some hotcakes on A rainy morning with your sweetheart! Nice breakfast date.
If you can eat 3 hotcakes you win a free T-shirt!! I love being rewarded for hunger with clothing !
A very good "Southern Breakfast . Try the ham with Red Eye Gravy .
Yum, lots is food for the money, menu is always different
Make sure to add cheddar to your grits instead of butter or gravy . Delicious!
Feel free to ask for extra corn bread or biscuits and remember refills on tea are always free!
Cute place . Staff very friendly and sweet - food was good, but my eggs were a but too watery for my liking. Overall, nice little place for breakfast .
Real grits and catfish , with side biscuits and molasses.
Try the link sausage biscuit but smother it in saw mill gravy and top it with a scrambled egg with cheese ...amazing!
Huge pancakes !!! Fast service .. not too bad. Servers are nice.
If you are in the area at lunch , hit up Big Ed's City Market . Ask for Carole and tell her The Texans sent you. Home Cooking at it's B-E-S-T!
Absolutely loved the Catfish and grits plate
Eggs and meat for breakfast . Chicken dumplings anytime.
I had the pancake w/ bacon and water to drink. The pancake was cold. 3 strips of regular, fatty bacon and cold syrup . I don't think, no, I know I will not be back! You guys missed the mark on this one
Try the biscuits - they're amazing.
Love the kitschy decorations, food is nothing special (except for the biscuits ).
Had the fried pork chops , absolutely delicious!
