Amazing place for photography ! Bring a long lens and a lot of time to sit and watch tens of amazing surfers. Google the wave height to make sure it's a good day before driving from Honolulu.
Grab a chair and watch some choice waves at the world famous banzai pipeline. Always entertaining. Expect a crowd and photographers sprinkled throughout.
This spot is amazing, you will see the best surfers in the world here. Don't be fooled by a lower looking surf day either, this spot is NOT for beginners
Surfing my whole life in Charleston SC, I thought I could take on 15 ft swells . Luckily the lifeguards knew better. The power really humbles you. If you like the beach & big waves , take a look!
Stayed in a beach house right on the Pipeline. It was beautiful and peaceful . Watching surfing all day long.
Pick a good spot with your friends and watch some of the best surfers in the world crush some waves.
Great beach to watch the surfers. Amazing waves and beautiful sunset !/ ótima praia para ver os surfistas. Ondas gigantes e um pôr-do-sol maravilhoso!
check out for upcoming competitions, we stumbled upon a boogie board competition. If not, also amazing just watch these crazy pipeline waves...
Check the surf reports if you're in Hawaii . We took a last minute trip to see the 20-25 footers and caught a contest. It was worth it!
Watch some dare devils surf and boogie board . If you want to get in the water but don't want to die, there's a nice wading area
Made of 3 reefs in increasingly deep water, no matter the swell size, the reef churns out deadly powerful and heavy waves over a jagged coral reef . It is home to the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing .
Even if you ain't good enough to surf , the break is close to the beach and makes it a perfect spot to watching!
The height of wave is amazing for surf .
Famous to sit and watch. Collect pukka shells here too! Love it.
Best waves on Oahu. It's worth the trip up here if you're staying on the south shore.
I was in awe of how awesome the surfers are here. You're making it look easy. Someday, this Nebraskan girl is going to learn.
Definitely the place to be for surfers looking to catch some action.
You won't find waves like these anywhere else in Hawaii
The spot for surfing , but in the summer there weren't many waves
Late November early December is the right time to see the killer waves.
Amazing waves , great place to watch the pros
Very nice place also for watching only
The surf and the views
Surf for big riders in the winter
Quiet in summer, great swimming .
I would check wave height on <aclass="entity url"rel="nofollow" href="http://www.surfline.com/"target="_blank" data-sig="+fvtIJ9GTqRCwxGivqWvQ+AKHzY=" onmousedown="fourSq.ui.OutgoingLink.mousedown($(this), event)" data-source="tip-text">http://www.surfline.com/</a> before heading there from Honolulu
Just some very big waves
Supposedly the best place to watch surfers
Classic surf spot !
Not for the amateur weekend warrior surfer or for that matter even a "good" surfer. This wave is for the elite, not only because waves power but also they dont like kooks, too dangerous to play here.
Beautiful!!!!
Sit down and watch the magic

Altas ondas!
Section of one of the best beaches of Oahu with good facilities: multiple parking spots, showers, restrooms. You can walk on the beach to Banzai and head into the water in the surf spot you like most. - Carmen
Great surf town! Plenty of food trucks and places to stop along and grab rentals, try Surf n Sea for equipment they are a staple there! - Britney Teper
Can't complain about an amazing beach! From surf competitions to picnics and family gatherings, the location, access to comfort stations and views of sunsets - this beach won't disappoint. - Deanna Peluso
Beautiful sandy beach. The swimming is usually good although there is a steep drop off making bodysurfing a little painful (but still doable) - Ella B.
The most famous shaved ice spot on the north shore. Line moves fairly quickly, tons of flavors to choose from. Loved the tropical combo with guava, papaya and lilikoi. - Meg Farmer
