This is my go to sushi place in the city , I love the fresh wasabi , all the different type of fish you can choose from and taste of uni was just amazing
A great place to order the omakase while sitting at the sushi bar to get a little bit of everything. It's not cheap , but it's well worth it.
Yes this place is crazy expensive , but the quality of the sushi ranks in the top 5 in the city . The weekday lunch special allows even the most common of us to sample their fare (in small quantities..)
The 20 piece sushi omakase was incredible.
Order the Botanebi (sweet shrimp ), and you are guaranteed to come back. Not only can you taste the freshness and quality in the shrimp , but it’s that sweetness that makes it stand out from the rest.
Great for a fancy , authentic Japanese meal. Enjoyed the sushi omakase , Uni flight , and fresh soba with ikura , uni, and caviar

At 15 East, the sushi is as clean-cut as the sleek, white interior. Try the omakase (“I’ll leave it to you”), for ten pieces of chef-selected sashimi . Tuna fiends can delight in a flight.
Do the omokase if possible. Also they have great yellowtail sashimi plate. Surprise dish: lobster uni risotto - must try. SO buttery and creamy and the uni really shined through.
Awesome sushi and soba . The omakase menu is supposed to be excellent, too. We didn't love the more traditional, western items, including the cherry wood smoked duck ($32 ). Read more
Get the sushi omakase and make sure the shrimp and king salmon are in the mix. End on the yuzu soufflé...will leave you feeling satisfied and refreshed!
Best sushi I've had in NYC! Ordered the sushi omakase lunch and split the tuna flight two ways. Sit at the sushi bar for the best experience.
Amazing sushi - some of the best in NYC. Also try the hot soba . Love the duck soba .
I discover 15East last year in it was one of my favorite in NYC. One year later they lost creativity, the service became usual... Just the price doesn't change! What happened 15east ?

Take an uni journey here: 3 kinds of uni flight , uni risotto , and soba topped with uni. ????
Great sushi , great service, yada yada yada, but the best part is the Very Handsome Asian Man who will explain your alcohol choices in great detail
The room, designed by architect Richard Bloch (Masa), feels like a sanctuary, and the food (fittingly) has a near-religious following among raw fish fanatics. Read more
Very good high end sushi . Slightly over priced. Good tuna and if they have fresh uni, that's a must have.
Bring a date and get the sashimi omakase each, then split a tuna flight , a bowl of housemade soba noodles and the kabocha creme caramel
The omakase focuses on sushi and sashimi of high quality, like tender octopus , creamy toro , & seared isaki (grunt fish ). – Green Guide Editor
The assorted tuna Omakase , sushi omakase , and uni sampler to die for!
Pretty solid. Their lunch omakase is a spectacular value. Also see Sushi Azabu (still the best omakase in Manhattan, IMO)
The best omakase lunch ! Sit at the sushi bar and their uni is amazing. One of my favorite restaurants in nyc
Get the seasonal omakase - the toro & uni flight was amazing.
High-end Japanese in a serene setting with very good soba noodles .
As someone who doesn't love octopus , I can truly say that this octopus is transformative. Sit at the bar .
Indulge in Master Chef Masato Shimizu 's stunning seafood and try the seasonal spiny lobster tasting.
Some of the best sushi in the city . Intimate, cool environment, top-notch service, and wonderful sake menu.
The tasting menu is good (but expensive for students at $120 per person), and the fish is very, very fresh. Also, the service is fantastic!
Handmade soba noodles . Omakase . Seaweed sampler of 11 varieties.
Call in advance to reserve at the sushi bar ; amazing experience. Also, best omakase I've ever had.

Great sushi place, and the non sushi dishes are very creative

Go with the chefs (omakase ) menu. Just perfect. The desserts were meh.
Amazing fish quality- def go omakase at the bar and try the octopus that the chef massages ... it's like Kobe style.
Don't miss the tuna flight ! The fattiest tuna tastes like foie gras !
Have the most exquisite omakase presented to you piece by piece from executive chef Masato Shimizu . Realize you both have met before through your ex-boyfriend. Small world!
Everything is fresh and the presentation is top notch.
