Easy to miss amidst all the gift shops but definitely worth a visit! Interesting & informative displays on how Chinatown came to be what it is today. Best part is definitely the recreated shophouse!

Just opened 28 Jan 2016. A very well planned and detailed museum . Takes about 45mins with audio tour and allows you to experience the lives of the people who used to live in Singapore decades ago.

Really good audioguide. Little pieces of radio-theatre from the past. Make room for the 3rd floor and social media at the end.

Jeffrey Stanley

The best experience in Chinatown. All tourists and citizens should understand the history of the Chinese in Singapore. This place explains it all.

For a smart gift - Really the best not-so-cheap souvenir center, subtly playing with Singaporean culture. I love buy my family gifts here, 100% authentic and you won't find it elsewhere.

Jerry

Very well made museum . You can roughly spend 1.5h exploring the exciting history of Chinatown. Also very recommendable for locals ;)

Do take the audio guide, you won't have as good of an experience without it.
