Carousel lounge . Get a room with a river view and try to wake up around sunrise to check it out.

Stephan!!!! Is the BEST bartender in this hotel !!! He's better up by the pool but you'll catch him by the Carousel Bar . :-) ask for this shawty!!

Love the Carousel Bar , the entertainment and location. Probably not my favorite hotel to stay at in New Orleans.

The Carousel Bar has been named one of the all time great hotel bars in the U.S. Great atmosphere. Only three blocks from Rue Bourbon .

Close enough to the action for Mardi Gras but far enough away from Bourbon Street!

Lots of history here. Had a great stay.

A lovely old hotel with pleasant rooms.

Plenty of supposed ghosts here, including a boy who wants to play hide-and-go-seek. Hotel says their ghosts are all friendly .

Hotel Monteleone was a stomping ground of William Faulkner, Eudora Welty, and other Southern literati.

Awesome new restaurant/ jazz bar downstairs.

If the bathroom commode pipes hadn't leaked AND if after 4 calls no one ever fixed it. We used he majority of our towels to keep the floor dry.

Check out the Carousel Bar...if you can handle the motion! Love it.
