ImpressionismXExprrssionism exhibition was very moving. Galley contains wide collection of Shinkel, Menzel , Caspar David Froedrich and others
Amazing selection of art by mostly, but not only, German artists active during the 19th century. Very nice space. Open and lets you get very close to the artwork.
An absolute architectural wonder whose collection can rival with Orsay and the Musée de la Ville de Paris (3e). Again one of those museums with are cheap for students/praktikants. Thank you.
Amazing collection of German painters , also including some major French Impressionists
I have seen an awesome exposition of Rembrandt Bugatti's sculptures there. The whole place looks so nice and it won't take you a whole day to see everything there.
Beautiful grounds. Awesome area to take photos. Stroll around.
A sensitively restored Greek-temple building by August Stüler, the Alte Nationalgalerie is an elegant setting for an exquisite collection of 19th-century European art .
Awesome paintings . One of the best museums !
Coat Check and upstairs lockers get crowded/used. More lockers are located downstairs by gift store .
Rich collection of German artists and a big room with French impressionists (on ground floor). Good navigation.
Wonderful Renoir painting on the second floor.
5EUR adm. for students. You can't bring a coat or bag (safety box - 1EUR). Decent collection of works mainly by German painters + sculptures . Don't go too close, though, you will set off the alarm.
There are some stars in the collection, but overall - not super impressive. Take an audio guide to understand more. If you don't have a lot of time - you can skip this museum and visit Pergamon
Get the annual ticket if you plan to come more often. At just 40€ it's a ridiculously good offer compared to the regular 8€ entrance fee (and the fact that it gives you access to all state museums in
Beautiful paintings by Menzel and roomful of Courbets & Constables on the ground floor. Great works by Friedrich upstairs.
You’ll need at least 2-3 hours. The audio guide comes with ticket purchase of 10€
The location and the paintings are really Berlin.
Great collection of German paintings and some French artworks as well
Great museum if XIX and the begining of XX century art is what you love
Theres a room with just pen a pencil drawings of animals... I found that the most impressive. It can get boring if you're not really "artsy".
Breathtaking architecture with amazing art pieces. Enjoyed this one too much.
I really enjoyed the Impressionists and Romantics
Really enjoyed the paintings on the top floor.
There are also paintings of famous artists like mone and degas!
German realism is not so charming, but hey, you get Van Gogh!
Musegallery
Stunning building and stunning collection
There is an entire room filled with C.D. Friedrich's works <3
some interesting exhibits but largely missing explanatory text. As in the case of the Pergamon museum , it is unacceptable for a world class museum to only provide accompanying information in german.
18 and 19 centuries artworks
For a national gallery , not such a big thing. Pergamonn and NeuesMuseum are more worth the visit
If you purchase the WelcomeBerlin card, all the museums are "gratis" and no queues!!
Beware that you can't bring a coat or a purse in with you. Might be no big deal to some, but as tourists with cameras and some other items I didn't want lost, I had to stuff my pockets.
Free entry on Sunday
This are three museums in one.
Stunning collection
A place to dream. Slow down, breath in the German romanticism, nurture your Sehnsucht, Wanderlust and Weltschmerz
The statue of Nike/Victoria here served as the model for my foot tattoo .
No queue for tickets if you want to buy one for the whole island
Not bad, though I expected not only German painters
Böcklin waits you!
Too small collection of french impressionnistes.
Interessante!!
Mediocre museum with mediocre art , they don’t accept student IDs that do not have an end date. Don’t think it was worth the 10 euros
Louvre müzesine rakip,dünyanın birçok yerinden toplama, harika eserler..
Güzel ve heybetli bir bina. Tüm müzeleri bir biletle gezebilirsiniz. Ona göre bir bilet almanız yeterli.
Sehenswerte Gemälde und Skulpturen des 19./Anfang 20. Jhd.
A great little museum and a lot less busy than others nearby. - Jenny Stewart
One of the best museums of Berlin, the building itself is stunning and they always have some nice expositions. - Sophie Duvekot
Unbelievable. Breathtaking. Magnificent. All the atmosphere is just impressing. Art pieces, collection and exhibition are hypnotic. The architecture and interior design of gallery ids the best. ???? - Ismail Çobanoğlu
Lovely exhibitions, very interesting, with a slight caveat: very little sense of continuity between the halls and the exhibitions. Overall absolutely worth it. - Artemi Morningstar
My favorite museum in Berlin. Is a must if you are there. Be aware that the Pergammon is close until 2017 but there are plenty other things to see. - Emiliano Viscarra
The admission fee is 7 euro for adults but definitely worth paying it. - Haeseon
