It is worth fighting the crowd - breakfast items are tasty and one of the best coffees I've ever had. The baristas really know how to brew the perfect cup.
Best Spot in Venice for EVERYTHING! Travis has hit it out of the park -the smoked oysters to the shrubs, his salads are inspired and this deli style hotspot is beyond description in its excellence
The space is beautiful. You'll want everything on the menu, so come hungry and take your time choosing what to order. For breakfast , the fish platter with lox and a boiled egg is a great option.
one of those rare spots you can stop in every day for breakfast or lunch (and try something new and great every time)
OMG EVERYTHING. Banging chocolate chip cookie . Sourdough bread is amazing. Get a bunch of the spreads like the labneh , whipped burrata , the roasted tomato spread w walnuts , also the anchovies .
Possibly the best daily breakfast in the city , if you can endure the general lack of seating and crowds, the menu includes breakfast sandwiches , cured fish , steak & eggs , and multi-grain porridge . Read more
Chaotic. BUT some fantastic food. Best falafel sandwich .Chicken dumpling soup amazing. Great quiche . Yummy pastries (donut , carrot cake , banana cream pie ). Bfast sandies r ok. Brisket sandy too smokey
Spectacular pastries , confusing traffic flow. Brace yourself for a long line and overflowing ‘roid rage courtesy of the Gold’s Gym next door while waiting for your croissant and cold brew .
OMG !! What a surprise and what a discovery !! Forget the queue and order all what you want. Everything is perfect, fresh, nice, tasty, good, "cheap " for this quality. Perfect !!
Is there a better day-time eatery than Gjusta at the moment? Except for the paucity of seating, the fare coming out of Gjusta's massive kitchen and ovens is impressive from beginning to end. Read more
Incredible sandwiches : brisket banh mi and tuna were standouts. Tasty baked goods from the Gjelina crew.
If you're vegan you should order the fully stacked vegetable bialy with avocado and hummus . Nut milk is house-made and awesome in coffee .
This warehouse attracts the beautiful Venice crowd with its open-faced tartines and carefully constructed iced espressos . But the real action is at the charcuterie counter, sandwich and pizza bar . Read more
Quite in love with the granola honey yogurt (add figs !) and fig wild rice pudding . Just as in love with the outdoor seating though it gets crowded . Breakfast pizza is meh.
This is place is amazing. Just seeing how they operate is amazing. Had the falafel sandwich and loved it + the ginger lemonade ice tea was delicious and nutritious!
On crowded weekends get a free coffee by coming in and grabbing a queue ticket. Wait ten minutes and then hand it to a newcomer and tell them they can jump the line of they buy you a coffee . #winning
Wonderful place for breakfast (take away ) or brunch . Hipster but high quality. Loved their avocado kale smoothie , Danish and granola , blackberries on creamy yoghurt .
This is one of the most aesthetically pleasing places I've been to in a while. And the food is as delicious as it is beautiful. Just a lovely place in general.
There are plenty of sandwiches to choose from at this spot, including falafel , pastrami , and chicken parm . You'd be silly not to sample their butcher 's special if you have carnivorous inclinations. Read more
Had the chicken banh mi , pastrami sandwich (crisp sauerkraut !), potato salad , and the pumpernickel brownie . All of it was delicious :) definitely a new favorite.
If your dining in and are hungry, try the falafel sandwich . If your looking for take-away, then grab some sides and a loaf from the bakery . Overall, excellent vegetarian options .
Start your day with an open-faced fruit pie and a kale , avocado , date and nut-milk smoothie at this new breakfast and lunch bakery/deli from the people behind Venice’s cult eatery Gjelina . Read more
Brisket Bahn Mi was the Bahmb!!! ;) see what I did there...? Super flavorful, delicious brisket , and excellent bread . Fries were excellent and plenty big to share with very interesting dipping sauces .
Get a # from the ticket dispenser and wait for ur number to b called, order ur food then pay, take ur number plate and find a table. Food and service are great. extremely crowded all times!
This place is so trendy . Don't be put off by the tech-bros & Venice yuppies as the food, pastries & beverages are phenomenal & worth the price. Try the brisket sandwich or bahn mi . Rich & tasty.
The food is excellent but they are SO VERY Fabulous. Quite a place to people watch to get LA cliches. Be warned though -if you just want a quiet place to have a nice breakfast this may not be for you.
Pick from menus (the porchetta sandwich is highly recommended and over-delivers); point at the daily sides and salads behind the glass counters; ogle desserts , juices , coffees , and just-baked breads . Read more
I'm limited@w/ a garlic allergy but their house cures smoked salmon is the best in town & REAL bagels w/all the fresh fixens. Not great for big groups-seating is lmtd. Weekends are busy-patience????????
Omg the brisket au jus was WAY too salty... fries just ok. The sourdough bread though is among the best (the best?) I’ve ever had!
Grab a number, wait for your number to be called. After order, grab drinks from drink counter, food will be brought to your table. Food was fantastic. Very tasty.
Some of the breakfast sandwiches are too salty in my opinion. The smoked fish plates are delicious though!!!!! And the tres leches cake has nectarine in it, also delicious
Apple Crumble is justt perfect. Coffee <3 bad thing its usually crowded so wait for a seat at the bar or take away ! It all looks delicious here!
The first counter displays sweets: scones , cookies , banana cream pie , an iced kabocha squash/chocolate tea cake with pumpkin seeds & a gorgeous lemon poppy seed cake topped with blueberries Read more

The best place ever. Go here and eat everything. Casual , beautiful, delicious, healthy and not.
La Marzocco machine with baristas that know how to pull great shots. I was served SF's Sightglass espresso blend, yum! Oh, the food is fantastic too (Bialy breakfast sandwich --wow!)
Everything is very good, but the place is maddening. Very little seating, long wait once you've ordered (the system for getting food is some kind of bohemian chaos dream), and half-cocked service.
Come here for coffee , they have the best cortado . Their outdoor seating are very relaxing. I won't recommend the food here although it's good.
Loooove everything about this place! Menu is outstanding, service is quick. Lox Hash brekkie was yum, with eggs poached to perfection!
The bread , the sandwiches , the coffee , all perfect. The chefs are each specialists on their field and this place is truly remarkable. Expect a long line .
The cheeseburger here is sheer perfection - it is the burger I’ve been looking for ever since I moved to LA. I’ll be thinking about it for a long time!
You can purchase a wide array of items, from pickled radishes and jardiniera to a shocking orange chili sauce in adorable bottles and oil-cured mackerel . There's also smoked salmon pastrami . Read more
Best veggie burger I've tasted! Tomato confit & burrata toast , fingerling potato salad , french fries , with the bernaise sauce , wow!!!!
Very good food, but the dining area is a perverse bastardization of living in extreme poverty. If you're hip , you'll like it, but if you have your head on straight, you'll despise it.
The best falafel in LA ????????
Amazing place. Like nothing I've ever seen before. So much delicious food. Be sure to grab a table in the patio
Great food. Informal but in a very nice and detail oriented setting. A great place to spend a lazy weekend morning.
Fresh delicious food! The salmon was flaky, fresh, juicy, beautifully marinated and cooked to perfection.
“Come for coffee and a croissant , a healthy salad , or a porchetta sandwich . It’s not fine dining . It’s about a rules-be-damned freedom of choice. How Californian is that?” - David Prior Read more
Everything is supremely delicious. The best executed deli concept I've ever seen. Make sure to take a number, as the wait will be long either way.
