Peak Week is totally worth the visit. They're even more beautiful in person.
Parking is next to impossible in the immediate area during peak bloom season. Sunrise and sunset photos are great. For early sunrise photos get there by 5am to find a parking spot !
Absolutely stunning. It may seem like an incredibly long walk around the Tidal Basin , but it's so worth the loop and it actually goes by quick.

Perfect picnic spot for Spring! ???? the tidal basin area is very crowded on weekends.
Even though the weather destroyed most of the cherry blossoms, I was still able to see some.
As a result of global warming pushing spring ever earlier, peak bloom tends to happen in mid-late March.
$13 parking lots a block away was great!! Access the service road from Maine Ave SW near the SW waterfront .
The walk is longer than it looks. Comfortable shoes a must!
They only are in bloom for a few days , so don’t miss out!
