I was there for the dedication ceremony and that was very special. Visited again and the feeling of looking at this larger than life statue is truly a sight to behold. Everyone should visit.
This is an incredible monument to visit as a family. It helps to make the legacy of MLK more real for the younger children in your family.

It is a very very tall monument ... Must see the beautiful carving. Also, great view of the back side of the Lincoln memorial. The trolley just drop some visitors...so, it is not too late.

MLK memorial is great at night and will be nearly empty, allowing you to take in its size.
