Tompkins Square Park Dog Run

Great little park here. It's split for big and little dogs. There's even a poop scoop for when your dog inevitably decides, inside, the park is the best to go.

Try to keep the doggy pool as clean as you can. We should try to avoid our pups drinking from it. You never know what's in it when its too cloudy

Nicely-sized park - but it is abundant with homeless people. We brought breakfast here from Tompkins Square Bagels and then headed to the dog park afterward.

A nice big run but the dusty ground and pool makes for dirty dirty dogs. If in the small dog run make sure your pooch doesn't jump the fence to run with the big boys!

Ask before you give a treat to another dog. You don't know what kind of diet they are on or what their allergies might be.

Listen: don't bring a ball or frisbee to the dog park expecting to be left alone, or even bring the toy home afterward. Expect to have many pups playing, or save it for off-hours/your private park .

The annual Halloween Dog parade is amazing. So many dogs sonny costumes !!! Great space for dogs to run around with water fountain . It's pretty quiet and chill .

This dog run features state-of-the-art running surfaces, separate runs for large & small dogs, and hoses to spray your dog.

Great park , clean and well cared for. Other dog owners are friendly and responsible.

During the Halloween Dog Parade , prizes are given for the best costumes : past entrants include a few Frankenweenies and a three-headed Cerberus impersonator.

Never open the inside and outside gates at the same time. People that do this are assholes and should be corrected. A few dogs have escaped and been hit by cars, so don't do it.

Most people are OK with smoking but don't put out your butts on the ground -- some dogs eat 'em.

This place is dirty . Just dirty . Dogs poop all inside the dirt areas where the dogs play and run, and has a split area for big and small dogs. Not a fan. Take them to Washington Square instead.

No dogs without people and no people without dogs. Bee tee dubs, human babies, even crawling on all fours, are not an acceptable substitute for dogs.
