One of the best Japanese restaurants outside of Japan. Ask for any special sushi/sashimi options of the menu -- they may have something very nice. Also the Ohmi beef is amazing (but $) nocheap :))
Skip the sushi and go for speciality dishes such as the fake pastas made from seafood (uni cauliflower pasta ), uni risotto , & beef fois sukiyaki . Great Austrian dessert wine ! Bad selection of teas .
The restaurant is inside Gagosian Gallery . Along with traditional sushi and entrees, you find some unique stuff like fish pasta . Desserts all have slight Japanese twist!
The creamy Half uni shell (I would share this dish) beef sukiyaki , and Peking duck foie gras tacos were standouts
Very expensive , but worth it! Highest quality fish and preparation. Special occasion and healthy
The pastas are great and the quality of the fish is wonderful. Great wines by the glass
Miso butter salmon , Peking duck foie gras tacos , beef juju, seared salmon w/ crispy flakes
All the rolls, beef , duck , the SAKE’s rock
Mentioned in NYT for having great wings .
Great atmosphere.
Tasting menu , shabu shabu
overpriced. for the price point i expected much better quality. you can get better sushi for equal or lesser cost in the UES
El brazino y el yellowtail son espectaculares!
Отличная атмосфера и персонал 🤗+Пикассо❤️
Great presentation and excellent quality. Not a scene like other notable sushi spots but just as good. - Peter Roth
Go for the kaiseki vs the omakase, it's 17 pieces of sushi instead of 20 but the little plates that come before sushi and the dessert course are completely worth it! - Rubén García
The most authentic penne pomodoro I've found in NYC. A little steep at $22, but well worth the splurge. - Kate K
