One of the best meals I have ever had. Order the alligator cheesecake for an appetizer.. Fried chicken is ridiculous, red fish is amazing as well . Grab a drink at the bar while you wait...

Coco Mc

The cheesecake starter was amazing! Not a dessert . The spinach salad with sesame dressing & fried oyster garnish is such a simple but delicious complimentary dish. Great service.

Michelle S

Yes...you want to eat here! Possibly the best meal you will have in NOLA. Monk fish was cooked perfectly and all the apps are very good. The table in the truck is very cute . No reservations .

Missy Mackey

Soft shell crab , gumbo , complimentary corn bread and of course, the fried chicken . It is quintessential Nola. My favorite restaurant in town .

Michelle S

One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Red fish was melt in your mouth! Fried green tomatoes were one of the best I've had. Save room for coconut bread pudding .

Ryan Eugene

Unassuming dinner spot Uptown. Various inventive Cajun and creole dishes in a converted home. Seating options are plentiful including in the bed of a pickup truck . Fun experience off the normal path.

Brad Z

I had the blackened redfish and the fried green tomatoes ! The sauce with the redfish (and the fish itself) was one of the best things I've had since being here in NO.

Eater

Most of the menu is straight-up Creole, among the best in town . You will likely have to wait for a seat, but the Maple Leaf Bar is half a block away, so it’s no big deal. [Eater 38 Member]

One of the top places in New Orleans! We tried two special dishes, a bunch of apps, and sides and everything was delicious. I would highly recommend this spot.

Ricky Sherrill

A must go to place. Go on Tuesday night for dinner and then slide next door to the Maple Leaf to see “Rebirth”

Dana Villmore

Best meal I’ve had in NOLA. Alligator cheesecake is a must. Had the crab stuffed soft shell crab on fried green tomatoes called Godzilla . Incredible!!!!

Adam Gambrel

Always about a 45 min wait on a good night. The atmosphere is fantastic. Their alligator cheesecake and redfish are both excellent.

Christina Vermillion

Everything we tried here was amazing. Country fried venison , alligator cheesecake , crawfish etoufee. Just go here and order anything you will not be disappointed.

Alex

Get the alligator cheesecake for an appetizer ! The BBQ shrimp is excellent and so is the blackened redfish . End the meal with vanilla bean creme brule !

Lucas Alvim

Best food I had in New Orleans. Place is crowded so be prepared to wait 45-60 minutes to get a table. A must visit!

Marc P

Food and the atmosphere s amazing! Their fried chicken is one of the best fried chickens I've ever had.

Sirus Orndoff

Don't skip the cream brûlée for dessert . Very high surface area means more crunchy caramelized sugar topping! Mm@mmm

Denette

Great place! Fun decor , great service. Expect to wait. Get a souvenir cup . Alligator cheesecake , rabbit be adventurous it's yummy!

Zed Yasay

The gator shrimp cheesecake was delish and not so heavy surprisingly. I got the stuffed porkchop which was hearty and didn't get sick of eating it.

Yessy Franco

Order the alligator cheesecake , you won't regret it. I don't usually like alligator but this was amazing.

Salil Gulati

Alligator cheesecake . Fried grits . Carpet Bagger steak . Drum with pecan bernase. Duck gumbo . Fried chicken . All next level. Worth the long wait to get in.

Alex Mizrahi

This is the best food in town , hands down. Get everything on the menu and don’t forget to try the Alligator cheesecake – AMAZING.

Matthew Scott

So. MUCH. FOOD. The appetizers come out quick, so if you are in a rush order a bunch of apps and chow down! Its a great meal in 20 mins flat!

Eve Rickert

We've always loved this place, but either the regular chef was on vacation tonight or we ordered the wrong thing. All I can say is avoid the (inedible) paneed rabbit , the venison and the gumbo .

Lauren Slater

The Creole BBQ shrimp and corn macque chioux were to die for! Of course, you can't skip the alligator cheesecake either.

Amanda Thau

Complimentary cornbread and the alligator cheesecake appetizer are AMAZING. Be prepared for a wait (1+ hr on a Tuesday night for me) but drinks are cheap outside.

Jenna Odett Laskin

Great for groups (call exactly 30-days ahead for a reservation )

Have a contest to see who can drink the most (incredible) bloody marys before dinner . The two losers have to eat their meal in the pickup truck . They'll be sorry they lost and it'll be hysterical. Read more
