Virginia War Memorial is a monument Downtown Richmond Richmond located in United States.
621 S Belvidere St Richmond , VA 23220 United States
The General Assembly of Virginia 1st authorized the Memorial in 1950. After the Korean War the memorial was reconstructed to include the Korean War as well as WWII;completed in 1955 dedicated in 1956
Inspirational, from the quotes above the Galanti Education Center, to the state-of-the-art theater experience, displays, and memorial wall, I gained an appreciation of the cost and value of freedom.
A short but fun time with a outside wall with the names of the fallen since world war 2. The volunteers are all ex veterans. Two video rooms one is 4d & other one is Veterans retelling their stories.
A really beautiful tribute, especially when lit up at night. It also affords pretty panoramas of Richmond.
