This is the entrance to the best ferry in NYC. Governor's Island is open on the weekends & somehow a beautiful secret in the city . Ample green space with quaint old shops and a special hot dog stand.
The Governors Island ferry runs from this c. 1909 steel-faced, Beaux-Arts style survivor, a lone holdout from the days when ferry terminals lined the East River waterfront .
The ferry is a fun and easy way to get to Governor's Island ! And cheap !
A cool top would be to advised u to bring your bike and tour around. Great experience!
