Good selection of south Indian eats and a few north Indian dishes too. The menu here is somewhat heavy on the meat entrees and few are boneless . I had the vegetarian Thali..good sampling of dishes!
Good Indian restaurant . If you like to eat spicy you will love to eat here. If you don't ask to have a mild meal (even the medium spicy is really hot!) great choice of north and south India
Go authentic or go home. This is not your typical Indian joint. Ask your Indian friends for suggestions and don't forget to down a beer . Cheers!
The goat here, cut into boneless chunks, is used more to accent the dish than it is to drive it. While bigger chunks may give you a burst of gameiness, the flavor is more meaty and spice-driven.
The food has consistently been great. The chicken 65 is perfect amount of spice and flavor but I highly recommend the Chicken kothu parotta ! Great portion size with friendly staff .
Try the Chettinadu specialities - garlic curry (sounds odd/intense but is delicious. Garlic melts like butter) and egg appam were delicious. Always get rasam in a South Indian restaurant !
Good not GREAT. I had the chicken thali . Everything is very flavorful, very tiny portion of chicken but LOTS of side dishes, service was lovely and very accommodating. A little pricey .
Best South Indian food I have had in the city- I skipped the regular dosas etc & went for the chicken 65, kottu porota & chettinad chicken - delicious! Must visit for atypical South Indian dishes .
Chettinadu cuisine, the specialty of this NYC franchise of a Chennai-based chain, is surprisingly meat-centric, considering its origins in vegetarian-dominated southern India. Taste: Poondu kolambu Read more
Authentic South Indian food 🥘❤ and they have an unlimited thali deal for the weekdays 🙊
The chicken lollipop , dosa and the shrimp biryani are great. If you are on the hunt for something really spicy , go for the Drums of Fire (at your own risk)
This Southern Indian restaurant specializes in the foods of Chennai. Try the egg appam , a rice-flour pancake with a fried egg , as well as the ghee-slicked dosa . To drink, order the lemon soda . Read more
Get the fried idli and if they have nethli fish as a special then get it. Madras coffee may be instant coffee but that's pretty much what Madras coffee is. Eat tapas style .
Amazing Parotta. Garlic naan was delicious. Chicken rasam was spicy and good. Could have done without all of the bones.
Authentic South Indian food . They make the payasam with rice vermicelli . Try the various kothu parottas .
The Lollipop chicken was good, the chicken kothu parotha was tasty but lacked the extra kick of spice im accustomed to in kothu rotis .
Good ambiance. Indian music puts you into mood. Buffet is not real buffet . It's whatever the chef chooses and at fixed amounts. As a result, a lot of food is wasted.
Very nice lunch . House specials suggested were an interesting experience. Good value for money for lovers of Indian cuisine
Mmmm get the paniyaram for appetizer . Their dosa/sambhar is good too
Order the chicken lollipops , the Chettinadu chicken masala & of course dosa !
I’ve had garlic naan , mutton curry and mango lassi - all amazing!
The whole garlic curry is a MUST try. Never had anything like that before. Also, the fresh lemon soda was a refreshing soft drink .
The food was great and very authentic . But I wish they had turned on the A/c. Enjoyed the food with sweating all the time.
A standout Indian restaurant specializing in spicy regional Chettinad cuisine.
Briyani ! It's aromatic and filling.
Get the thalis (meals), pretty authentic South Indian food . Hit the spot for me.
Try the parotta with pepper chicken . It's the real thing. And spicy !
The chicken 65 is a great starter! I also enjoyed the palak paneer !
Try the egg kothu parotta (minced rotis with a spicy sauce n scrambled eggs )
The kulipaniyaram (fried idlis) are to die for. Also the parottas!
The whole fish . Worth it. Spices galore
Order the appam and chicken curry
Mutton or chicken biryani . Best in the city
Garlic curry ! You know you gotta try it.
Butter chicken and lamb curry
Lunch buffets Veg for $11 and $12 for Non-Veg!
The whole fish . Worth it.
Garlic Curry is tasty, but NOT DATE FOOD. I REPEAT. Even if you're married. Hold off.
Very spicy , but try the thalia
Try the rasam soup and korma
Awesome food.
anjappar chicken is awesome $14
Get the big ass dosa
Mutton sukha is pretty good, but a little dry.
Yummy spicy south India food!

Split the Pondicherry dosai and an order of onion pakora. A delicious meal for two that is very affordable. - Alex Kesling
Definitely try the Dahi Puri! Had the kulfi falooda, it was delicious. - Shalin Sitwala
Clean, not overly crowded but large theater. Easy walk to nearby dinner spots and staff is nice. - Amanda Ponzo
Great spot for spice shopping, dried pulses and nuts. A surprising selection of bitters. The upstairs is a great lunch spot. The mujadara salad sandwich is fantastic. - Sage
Awesome dog run and tree lined park for walks with your pup. - New York Dog Nanny
