The servers are really sweet. They let me try a number of things before I settled on the Mujaddara , which is so good! They have all sorts of authentic Middle Eastern food and a large variety of teas .

Great spot for spice shopping , dried pulses and nuts . A surprising selection of bitters . The upstairs is a great lunch spot . The mujadara salad sandwich is fantastic.

The nice fellow at the counter will let you sample the options before you decide. In the end, you'll probably choose the Majuddara-- lentils , grains, lots of spices, fried onions . Impossible to resist

ARMENIA: Bastirma with labne is Armenian salt-cured beef , lingering in a flavor limbo between pastrami and beef jerky , a strained yogurt that possesses the buttery soft texture of cream cheese .
