I spent $15 and ended up with a proportion of 3 meals. This place has been there since the 70s. There's no way you can go wrong with anything on the menu.
Delicious, awesome chicken masala , rice , bread ...Must try. Urcite nevynechajte ked ste v New Yorku, nenechajte sa odradit vyzorom restauracie :)
The pair of veggie samosas are a popular bargain snack , and while the cuisine is mostly North-Indian, South-Indian dosas appear on the menu and there are plenty of vegetarian options . Read more
The combination platters are cheap and VERY generous. 2 dishes of your choise, rice , nan , and a free salad bar . Sit upstairs for views of the Empire State Building.
Their chicken kurma is sooooo delicious, juicy, tender and flavorful! The chicken tikki Marsala (sp?) is pretty tasty but my guy wasn't impressed with their cuts of chicken at all. I'd go back though!
Chicken tikka masala is the best I have tasted. Unfortunately the decor upstairs was destroyed. The booths were repaced by chairs, The lights were changed for a white bright : It looks like a school ca
Saag paneer , chicken tikka masala and veggie samosas are amazing! Really good food, fast service and great prices!
huge portions . a little greasy but definitely one of the better tasting non-vegetarian Indian restaurants in this area. naan is excellent, as is the tandoori chicken breast
Medium quality food, kabab heated up in a microvawe, but still a better option for lunch or dinner than burgers & fries . WiFi hardly works on the 2nd floor.
Delicious jasmin rice , chicken masala , lamb and spinach .. seriously finger licking good!
When I first heard “Curry in a Hurry,” I thought it would end with needing the men’s room in a hurry. But the food was great! But if you ever hear “chorizo in a hurry” you should run away. Read more
Friendly and fast service .
finally found a place that serve southern indian food and also indian candies like ladu !! <3
A great spot for lunch . Quick, good and not pricey .
Delicious tandoori chicken platter! Free salad bar and comes with naan !
Great food, cheap , and fantastic service.
BEWARE FOOD SWITCHING when they take container "underneath counter" to give you food, they are switching your food to more profitable dish. They do it especially late at night & vulnerable looking pp
Great Indian food to go. Love the samosas !
samosas , fresh naan , vegetarian platter
Not spicy enough for my taste but definitely one of the most affordable options in the Curry Hill area. Go for the combo platter and grab a seat upstairs.
Best late night situation to find yourself in. Especially in the hood.... :/
Love the food here! Always a favorite
Get the mixed platter. The chicken samosas and nan where good ESP. the sauce made of pomegranates .
Broke? 2 veggie samosas for $2.50 and naan for $1, and you get a filling meal under $5!
Quick & easy Indian on the go. Not gourmet but when you're hungry & broke, who cares.
The first and the best in town !
Cheap food. Not particularly amazing though.
Best chicken tikka masala on curry hill .
Don't forget to get yogurt raita at the chutney bar - its actually not watered down!
The lentil-onion things are delish.
Get a protein with 2 sides & Naan for $10.
BEWARE - THEY ARE SCAMMERS and CON MANS- they have switched my meat order twice last month for vegetable order , wrapped it up in plastic so when I got home, it was too late. DON'T B SCAMMED!!!!!!!!!
utthapam is ok for a late-night snack (the accompanying sambhar is very good), but masala dosas are bland and soggy. This kind of stuff is much better at Saravana, a couple of blocks down Lex.
Dosa took 30 minutes and was significantly worse than what you can get at several other places in the area
Try the Combination Platter -
Amazing so great good times yes
I ordered the vegetarian platter to go. I choked on a chicken bone..
Food did not have enough flavor.
Try the Samosa - A cheap cure for whenever I get homesick.
The best chicken tikka masala ever!
If there is a heaven for Cabbies...
They overcharge for very simple food. It all tasted ok to me but my wife got pretty ill. There are much better options!
$7-13 indian food
Don't bother with the raas malai . For a simple place, two dollars for one piece is too much, especially when it's taste is just whatever.
Look for a "now" groupon for an even less expensive meal.
Great mango lassi .
Good food but lousy service. Go for the combination platter and not single dishes. Makes more economic sense.
There's a good reason Russell Simmons is a regular here. Come find out...
try it out. head upstairs. a new york experience. interesting. (o:
Pretty cheap for the amount of food you get...
Love the chicken saag and dal that comes with it! A lot of food for under $10! - Julia
Great lunch special: two meats, rice, one veggie, salad, naan, and raita for $7.99 - Katherine S.
Stadium seating, friendly staff and away from the tourists. One of my fav theaters in the city! - Norman Ellis
Great spot for spice shopping, dried pulses and nuts. A surprising selection of bitters. The upstairs is a great lunch spot. The mujadara salad sandwich is fantastic. - Sage
