Classic oyster joint. Try the oyster stew or the crab stew . Raw oysters were fresh and accurately described by the waiter (briny, mineral finish). Oyster po’boy was delicate and delicious.
Delicious clam chowder and Cajun oyster po’boy sandwich . Chowder bowl is filling. They also have smoked salmon chowder and shrimp chowder , but oyster is their specialty. Staff are friendly too.
Wow... this place was amazing from the kitchy decorations to the awesome food. The server was great too, so sweet and helpful. We'll be back again SOON!!
Oysters , oysters , oysters ! We had the Tuesday all day Happy Hour Dozen Raw. OMG! So fresh and delicious! Also had the best pan-fried oysters - perfect breading , nice and light, but crunchy!
Fried Oysters ! I requested the Cajun seasoning , that they use for their Poor Boy. These oysters were incredible! I have been on the hunt for the perfect “pan fried oysters ” - this is it!
This is a small hole in the wall place. Oysters were off the charts. Destiny serving the bar was a great help in choosing which to have.
This place is great, fresh oysters and amazing beers on tap !
Clam chowder is amazing. The fried oyster po boy is delicious and I don't even like oysters
Must go to try ! Really fresh seafood
Some of the freshest seafood we have ever tasted. And great happy hour specials .
Love the hot fresh rolls . They're tasty & make great hand warmers in this weather *wink*
Best Happy Hour Drinks and Specials w/o all the noise. Bartender (Holly) the best In Portland.
Lovely old dive. Great bar , have salmon chowda to fill up after petite yummy oysters .
Ordered an order of fish tacos a while back, really hope they're worth the wait...
Incredible sourdough bread . Solid clam chowder .
Best clam chowder
Oldest family run restaurant in Portland. Incredible seafood - oysters are the best.
Be careful the oysters were creamy and running with white stuff we returned them
They have the best clam chowder for Portland.
Man was not gifted with 4 stomachs. Split an order a half-dozen ($11.95) and perhaps an oyster soup ($7.50) but no more. Oddly, for an oyster bar , there's not a strong emphasis on oysters .
Must get the chowder !!
Amazing clam chowder
Steak was amazing
If you have a Groupon print it out or don't let go of your phone. Our waitress grabbed my phone and took off without even asking. Also extremely slow: >30 min for food at non-busy time.
The staff clearly does not want to be here. The food wasn't impressive, the portions are small and over priced. We ordered a crab and shrimp cocktail that was tiny and didn't even have large shrimp .
In what should be an institution, you get poor service, old food and drowned oysters . Really what you leave with is sympathy for a dead restaurant
Was not a fan of the oysters ...But their calamari was good!
Decent oysters but boy were they tiny.
Get the smoked salmon chowder . You won't be sorry.
Only eat the oysters :) everything else is eh
Try the smoked salmon chowder !
Simply Awesome.
Food was not bad but service was horrible! Super slow and felt neglected by servers :(
Service is REALLY slow!
Did not like it one bit, do not recommend
Outstanding food and service. Try the baked salmon in basil butter for a mouthful of happiness - Toby Lorenc
First visit, open seating at bar for crowded Fri night@6. Enjoy the pot roast & atmosphere - Doug Caldwell
Loooove this market. Huge variety of food, eco-friendly clothing and miscellaneous crafts. If I lived in Portland I would come here every weekend! - Rebecca
Noodle bowls, cold edamame... and well, the menu is in Papyrus. :) - ArtJonak
